Feb-March Empties

1. Laneige Multiberry Yogurt Peeling Gel sample

Love this gentle exfoliator! Smells so good and my skin feels so clean after using it. Seriously thinking of getting this cos I don't have an exfoliator now but considering other options.

2. Soapy Charcoal Tea Tree Soap

Not really fond of it cos of the smell (natural scent) but it's really buttery and smooth on skin.

3. Bunch of Kiehl's Clearly Corrective Range samples

Honestly, this range is very good! These generous samples lasted me about 2-3 weeks. Not only was my skin recovering from scars & pigmentation, I got less pimples too.

4. Marie Beauty Fake Eyelash Glue

I have no idea why this new tube finished so fast =_=" Since I've found an alternative (Doll Lash), I wouldn't want to repurchase this.

5. Skinz UV White Starter Kit

Not bad but not moisturizing enough for my skin so not gonna purchase.

6. Biore Cleansing Oil
Very affordable cleansing oil! However, I feel that it's not so suitable for my skin now as it's dry. Got something else to try.

I thought I was never gonna like tube eyelash adhesives since the Marie Beauty one came with an easy-to-use wand. However, the new Marie Beauty glues I got were weaker and the smell was so pungent =( Plus, I see many freelancers recommending this one for sensitive eyes.

I first saw it at Empro but COCiCOCi carries it as well. You can choose between Clear and Black. I'm not very accurate with my falsies so clearly, Clear was the choice. It comes in a pack of 3 tubes. Each tube is sealed and you have to puncture it using the back of the cover.

Price is printed wrongly here. It's RM 14.80.

The tube is actually kinda small. You can easily slip it into your bag for 'emergency falsies dropping out moments'. It's a soft metal tube which means you can squeeze out every single drop!

According to the packaging, you should allow 15-30 seconds before applying it. IMO, after 30 seconds, it loses it's stickiness. So I usually apply it immediately after 10 seconds or so. You can see that it's already turning clear (not so sticky anymore) after applying the glue and snapping some shots.

It's more long lasting than the Marie Beauty one and definitely does not smell as deadly ^_^ Removal was a breeze as well. Even though it's a tube, it was quite easy to apply! What a surprise.. However, a wand is better at 'touch ups' where half of your falsies are still intact.

Ingredients : Natural Rubber Latex, Water, Polyvinylalcohol, Acrylic polymer, Methylparaben, Perfume, Hydroxyethyl cellulose.

Pros : Comes in Clear/Black, does not smell repulsive, easy to use, strong, easy removal, long lasting

Cons : Not so good for touch up

My conclusion : I actually quite like this! My sis just bought a few more of the Marie Beauty ones though x_X You should try this, especially if you feel your current eyelash glue is irritating your eyes.

Kanebo Blanchir Superior Oil Cleansing

Finishing up all my makeup removers since I have like 5 opened ones =_="

Got a trial size of this Oil Cleansing from the counter. I'm really glad I had it to try before purchasing the whole bottle!

Oh yeah, I also had foundation underneath.

It's really liquidy (wth is the right word for this) and easy to spread.

Normal massaging removed everything but the liquid eyeliner & waterproof mascara.

After much scrubbing, the mascara still remains! Honestly, I wouldn't even rub this hard on my face so I'm gonna consider that it was unable to remove waterproof mascara & liquid eyeliner.

Add some water to emulsify.. I still feel a heavy layer on my face after washing it off. It's really uncomfortable and doesn't really go away completely after double cleansing.

Le stubborn mascara..

Size : 150 ml

Pros : Scentless, easy to spread

Cons : Does not remove waterproof mascara/liquid eyeliner, leaves heavy film on face

My conclusion : Will not purchase full size. I just can't stand that film feeling plus I would prefer something more effective. For the price, I would rather get MAC Cleanse Off Oil.

The other products from this range like Clear Conditioner & Cream Soap are alright though.

Sakai Shots

Sakai is my Bf's dog. He's an adorable miniature Schnauzer who's really clingy & craves attention. He has been tortured and forced to camwhore with me on numerous occasions xD

Right before his shower! Wakakaka.. Managed to catch him after chasing him for a bit. He's a lil furry ninja, I tell you!

He sometimes lies down when I want to take a shot as if he's trying to say "Leave me alone! I'm not in a mood for pictures".

Happily camwhoring away when this attention whore decides to photobomb me. Pfft! That explains my strange expression.

So erm.. Revenge on you, buddy! You wanna be in my pics? Huh?? HUH?? Do you..?? Do you?!

Scene Stealer : Double Liner

Did this look for the Maybelline 'Create The Look' contest on Female. I don't think I did a good job but it was still fun! ^_^

Products used : Elf Brightening Eye Colour (Butternut), Solone Magic Waterproof Eyepencil (Black), Silkygirl Funky Eyelights Pencil (Gold), Empro Black Diamond Liner, Elf Brightening Eye Colour (Day 2 Night), Empro Day & Night Mascara, Elf Mineral Lipstick (Pouty Petal) & Elizabeth Arden High Shine Lip Gloss (Shimmering Pink).

The falsies were too long so it kinda blocked the double liner in photos =_=" Lower fake eyelashes would be more appropriate here but I didn't have any.

What do you think of this tutorial? I've seen some really fancy looking blog posts recently and suddenly had this urge to improve. I gotta admit, my blog looks pretty pathetic & plain =x I'll try to make it look better but as you can see, I'm not really an art-sy person =/

Also, any thoughts on the falsies? They're longer than my usual ones and didn't really feel comfortable.

Project Scallop Top

I'm currently in this stupid scallop phase where I find clothes with scallop trim designs oh so appealing. After much consideration and imagination (squeezed my brain juice trying to think if this would turn out well considering my noob sewing skills) I decided to DIY one.

I'm actually quite happy with the result LOL Transformed this oddly shaped dress (nice colour, though) into a scallop trimmed top.

Firstly, put the dress/clothing on and plan where you want to place the scallop trim. I decided on above the 'flare skirt' as there's a line there to guide me.

Search for inspirations online and decide on the size of the scallop. Look for a round object with the appropriate size. Imagine your scallop as being half of the object. Draw around it with a fabric pencil. Remember to draw on the wrong side (inside) of the fabric!

Sew along the line. I could only use this normal - - - - - sewing (which I think is not that sturdy) cos my sewing machine is faulty. It's better to use VVVVVV (better for stretchable material too, I think) or that special one to 'seal the seams'. I have no idea what isit called but look at the edges of your clothes and you'll know.

Then cut the fabric according to the scallop sewing. Leave some space between the sewing and where you cut. I left about 0.5 cm here.

Alternatively, you could fold it in & sew but it's hard to fold in scallops and I was lazy =x

DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME

Well, not really but just to let you know, it's really dangerous. Not only could you burn your fabric & ruin your hard work, you could burn your finger/hand/house!

Some fabrics are extremely flammable

Test with an unwanted piece before proceeding

You could use a safer alternative which is a joss stick (used for praying) but I discovered it leaves grey marks from the ash.

Depending on your fabric, that could be your last step but since mine frays a little, I used a candle to burn the edges (it melts and seals the edge). Technically, the fabric does not touch the flame; just near enough until it melts from the heat. It could melt really fast so pay attention!

Sorry for the bad explanation and skill! I hope I'll improve my sewing ^_^ I'm sure there are better methods out there but this is fast & easy. It probably won't survive the washing machine though so I'm keeping it strictly hand wash only xD

This is a photo of Samson & his 2 female companions, (unknown) and Spring. They have been recently abandoned in SS2, Selangor, Malaysia by their owners who are no longer staying there. Left without any food or water outside the house, they would not have lasted long. The gate is locked so they can't go out either. Kind neighbours are giving them food & water but are unable to provide more.

The dogs look healthy, are very friendly and love attention.

If you have extra space in your house & extra love to pass around, please consider this lovely trio.

Super urgent now! House owner wants to 'just open the gate and let them out'. She does not care about the dogs and merely wants them out of her house.

- SPCA has been called and they responded that they can't help. We should call MBPJ, they said. But honestly, I don't think the dogs would be cared for if we do hand them over to MBPJ.

After looking at my pretty pics yesterday, you must balance it by looking at my ugly pics today xD

I'm sure you all know what's the meaning of duck face. No, I won't show examples cos I don't want to offend any ~~ducks~~ girls. Most examples I see people using are of 'guai lou' but actually many of us Asians do it too.

Then I saw someone posting her photo, asking why people think duck face is ugly but the truth is, she was NOT doing a duck face. Here's some photos to show you what I mean.. I've included a 'with-hand-version' for some to help with your imagination.

Lips are positioned at an angle x & the curve is as though it is the circumference of a circle with radius y.

Even Facebook was too disturbed by that photo that it wouldn't upload it after 5 tries.

I tried doing the LOL guy face since it's similar but no matter how hard I tried, it just looked like I was giving a ninja a blowjob. NOT gonna post it lolz

I'm not one who can pull of cute poses but some people can. However, the duckface can't be helped. I suggest you load up your ammo and start hunting!
