#NoBurn with Philips PerfectCare Azur Steam Iron

Ever had a guy leave comments like this on photos with your girls?

Cili padi Clarissa appears! #burn

Now now.. If only he had a Philips PerfectCare Azur Steam Iron because it promises #NoBurn

Q: What's so different about this iron?
A: There is no dial to choose the temperature.

(Wait what? Is that supposed to be a good thing?)

OptimalTEMP actually adjusts the temperature by itself to suit whatever fabric you're ironing. No longer have to check the labels of your shirts and sort them by fabric. In fact, you can mix the different fabrics without waiting for the iron to cool down.

Perfect for people like me.. Who don't change temperatures between fabrics wan =x Everything is 'cotton' lolol

Now linen, silk, cotton, wool or cashmere can all be 'cotton' xD

Fill water fill water..

Not sure if my irons are outdated but this clip that comes with the iron is awesome! I always have to flip my wire away but this keeps it in place.

The blue light will blink while it's heating up and once it's stable, it means it's ready to be used.

For maximum anti-crease, I use this steam mode. There's also a latch under the handle which you can squeeze for extra steam.

Iron away! It's quite easy to maneuver and the Quattro Precision Tip is thinner, making it easier to iron tight spots and around buttons. Also, the Safety Auto Off function switches off your iron if it hasn't been moved in 2 minutes. Not only to conserve energy but also to prevent accidents from happening.

Test subject: 100% cotton shirt aka hardcore-wrinkles.

This is probably one of the harder pieces to iron. No matter how I iron, it becomes wrinkled again the moment it cools down. But with the Philips iron, it was easier to iron and stayed smooth. Not bad ah..

Same shirt, different colour.

Remember the blue light earlier? If it ever blinks yellow, it means you need to clean the iron by pushing this button.

Instructions on how to Calc Clean about once a month.

In my opinion, this iron would be good for families or if you have a wide variety of apparels to iron. Or simply if you're just too lazy to be checking every single label.

The Philips PerfectCare Azur range is available at major electrical and departmental stores and www.blipmy.com at a recommended price range of RM459 to RM599 (before GST).

[Beauty] Neesya Brightening Enzymatic Refiner Review

This range of Neesya products tackles dull skin with 3 easy steps. Psst.. Did you know Neesya is a Malaysian brand?

Oh another scrub? NOPE! The Neesya Brightening Enzymatic Refiner is different, I promise.

You only need a small dollop of this thick milky substance to cover your face. It's quite thick and can come across as sticky.

Only a thin layer is needed as it uses papain enzyme to exfoliate instead of scrubbing beads. By using enzyme, you will get a more even exfoliation because when we use our fingers, we tend to be harder/softer in different areas and can miss some spots. Papaya enzyme peels are also more gentle on skin compared to beads.

Massage on face and neck area for 30 seconds then leave on for 3-5 minutes. But if it's drying up, you can wash it off earlier. Don't wait til it's too dry!

Add water and massage to emulsify it so it's easier to remove.

Extract of Silver Vine Extract and AlphaMelight™ complement the exfoliation process with skin brightening effects, while Pro-Vitamin B and aloe extract restore hydration to help skin regain its glowing vitality.

True enough, my skin wasn't dried out at all! What I did notice was the blackheads and whiteheads on my nose were popping out of the pores and were much easier to extract. Yay!

However, I must place emphasis on proper removal of it. If you don't, you risk getting clogged pores (already got it twice). Thus, I always use a face cloth & cotton pad now to ensure all residue is removed. I also wash it off while it's still moist.

Price: RM 69/75 ml

[Beauty] L'Oreal HydraFresh Pink Range Review

Hello people! This is Elie and I write at cantuslupus.com but on occasional days, I go around messing with someone else’s blog and thus here I am today at theisabellee.com! So if you have dry skin most of the time, you would know that dry and flaky skin is no joke. It’s quite unsightly to see your skin peeling, especially at your nose…which makes it look really awkward. And guess who has this issue? Me.

Which is why when Isabel asked if I wanted to try out the L'Oreal HydraFresh series, I nodded endlessly even if she couldn't see me do it. I looked like a puppy, only cuter.

The first thing I tried was the L'Oreal HydraFresh Spa Water, which I treated as a toner. I hope I did it right because even if I got it wrong, it seriously felt right. Did I lose you anywhere there?

The consistency however wasn't much like a toner and instead was a little thick. I guess this means you can pour less out of the bottle but get more hydration from the lot. It’s also rich in anti-oxidant, giving you a more supple and moisturized skin as you smoothen out the cooling spa water from the French Vosges Mountain. Seriously, why go to the mountains when the mountains can come to you?

Meet the L'Oreal HydraFresh Mask-In Water Gel, the tri-phased emulsion that acts as a toner, serum and moisturizer for the ultimate hydration. And you can trust me when it say it’s hydrating.

If there’s anything I never liked about gels and all these things that promises me hydration, it’s the sticky after feel. But it was funny to not feel it with the mask-in water gel because it was really lightweight on the skin, regardless of how much I piled on. More means better hydration, right? I did a double check later on and realized, NO. The double HA formula in the mask-in gel would have boosted my skin’s hydration anyway so now I’ll just swipe a little bit for that lot of benefit.

L'Oreal’s HydraFresh Night Mask-In Gel, the kind of help you want for your skin while you’re dreaming of your date with Vin Diesel. The gel is translucent with a tinge of purple, which is pretty intriguing but I think it comes from the French Grape Seed extract that gives you better anti-oxidant effects, making your skin dewier, more bouncy and obviously making you look younger. You are never too young to care for your skin, okay? You never know when Vin Diesel proposes to you…in your dreams.

There is no clean skin like clean skin with the L'Oreal HydraFresh Creamy Foam. I get excited most of the time when I see “creamy foam” written on skin washes because who doesn't like foam?

White. Bouncy. Foam. I’ll admit I played with a bit of it before I realized I shouldn't use the same lot of my face. So I washed this away and squeezed another pea sized amount for a face wash and boy did it feel clean. It almost felt like my pores were going to bow to me for giving them space to breathe without being overly dry. I kind of like this creamy foam.

So an overall thought? The L'Oreal HydraFresh range really helps for people who have dry and flaky skin, but you shouldn't worry even if you have oily skin because the creamy foam does the job for you in feeling clean. The range also smells like heaven but not overpowering with the lingering scent. I have a thing for products like these and they've done it right. Still wondering whether to try or not to try? Re-read this post and go figure!

I'd like to thank Isabel lots for letting me gallivant in her blog space and also to her sponsor for this cool opportunity in saving my dying skin. This has been my honest review or my pants will catch fire, something I can’t risk happening because it’s expensive to buy clothes now with taxes. So yes, happy hydrating!

[Beauty] A'Lotos - Berry Flavour Collagen Drink

I'm not new to beauty/collagen drinks and this is one of the better ones. Not only is it effective, it also doesn't taste as bad as the others.

There are 30 sachets in a box which will last you 2-4 weeks. I took 2 sachets a day so it lasted me 2 weeks.

The best time to consume A'Lotos is before breakfast and before bed for optimal results. So I just chuck a bunch in the office so I won't forget then I have a cup of oats after it as my breakfast.

Sweet & Sour Berry Taste

Right now you might be like 'yuck' because you can imagine the taste but nooo.. A'Lotos has cranberry and blackcurrant extract in it to improve the taste so it has a sweet and sour berry taste. I would recommend mixing the powder with only half a glass of water to ensure you aren't diluting the berry taste. I don't even need to use juice to mask the flavour.

Got into the routine of drinking it every morning and night =D

Lotus Seed Germ Extract

So what's in this powder drink? Apart from collagen, the magic ingredient they use is lotus seed germ extract. Through their tests, skin cell growth is 59% higher than normal with the extract. Collagen drinks paired with them are also more effective and effects last longer.

Results after 3 weeks

I looked in the mirror to try to find a word to describe how I looked after 3 weeks of A'Lotos. As cheesy as it sounds, the word that popped into my mind was 'younger' LOL

Results after drinking A'Lotos

With just a few days of consumption, I started noticing fairer skin that was smoother and glowing. My cheeks were also rosy looking when they used to be pale and dull.

I still get pimples and my skin is still dry but it is improving. Just check out the photo below! My wrinkles are slightly smoother now. Collagen drinks are a long-term thing as your body's collagen is continuously depleting.

Less wrinkles after A'Lotos

A'Lotos retails for RM 238 per box BUT my readers will get a special discount~

[Food] Indulge in the New Haagen-Dazs Banana Chocolate Brownie

Who else cried watching Fast & Furious 7? Not sure if it's because I'm emotional these days but my tears couldn't stop at the end when they showed the Paul Walker tribute OMG why you do this!

But it's okay.. I have ice-cream to comfort myself while I watch all the old F&F movies again.

Eh it's definitely better than those flower pot ice-cream..

Previously I was in love with the Caramel Biscuits & Cream (CBC) but now they have this new flavour - Banana Chocolate Brownie ermahgadd

Sorry CBC but I love BCB now xD

Banana ice-cream made from 100% real cream and milk from France, and bananas from Costa Rica and Panama. These are atas (high class) imported bananas, not those growing in your back yard.

What do bananas taste good with? Chocolate! Lots and lots of it. My favourite is the brownie though. I've always had a thing for brownies in ice-cream and they do put a lot of them in a pint.

Mmm~~ Every spoonful was absolutely delectable. I even drank the melted remainder like a banana chocolate slushie.

Guess you know what I'm gonna do with these Haagen-Dazs vouchers I won WAHAHHAA
