Elf Brightening Eye Colour (Punk Funk)

Okay, I admit it. I'm a big fan of eyes lips face (elf) cosmetics. But comon! They're so cheap.. And so many colours and.. it's just $1 (although after conversion it's between RM 4+ to 7).

Since Elf is known for having pictures showing inaccurate colours, many shoppers search online for swatches before buying. So here I am, contributing to the online bank of images (Google Images).

It comes in a small and simple white container, with a dual tipped sponge applicator and a tiny mirror below it. The cover is clear and the name is on a sticker on the back. This is actually really small.. And the fact that it's divided into 4 parts for the colours makes it even smaller.

I had been contemplating if I should buy this for a few batches already. Just didn't seem to be the kind of colours I would wear but I caved in and got it anyway. From my experience with these eyeshadows, the shimmer ones are much more pigmented than the matte colours. The blue and purple are matte and not very pigmented. It took me some strokes to achieve the colour in the photo. I actually like them because they're quite wearable. The pink and 'white' have fine glitters in them. The pink may look too bright in the compact but it's actually okay on the eyes. The 'white' is not really white. It's actually a really light pink that appears to have a duo chrome kinda thing. A very unique colour indeed. Colours are swatched over Elf primer.

Pros : Cheap, contains colours that can be worn together or separately
Cons : Purple and blue not pigmented enough

My conclusion : Will purchase if they come out with more colours! ^^

Oh ya, I went to Daiso on Tuesday and grabbed a few more of the eyeshadow palette in purple, blue and green. I have one in brown and I keep it in my bag for times when I'm out without eye makeup and may/may not need it. This way, I can just apply it in the car or something. And if you're wondering what's that bottle of detergent, it's actually a sponge cleaner.

  1. YES~! Who wouldn't like ELF? They're so affordable and comes with a really decent quality! =) I almost caved in into buying their brightening eyeshadow too but didn't anyway. Lipglosses are faar more alluring to me..XD
The color combination really does scream funk! =) I like the pink with the blue..!
Went to Daiso too the other day but I didn't find anything remotely make-up related there..Oh, probably a few nail varnishes =/

  2. Hahaha.. You should have! It's 4 colours for $1! My fav is Butternut. I stupidly bought the mini Ipod shuffle lipglosses. Now I don't know what to do with them.

Which Daiso did you go to? The one in Curve has 3 racks for it. 1 is full of falsies and mascara/eyeliner etc, 1 for eyeshadows & blush and another for face + lip
