[Beauty] 5 Steps to Keep Pimples Away

As a young child, my face was like the moon. Pimples all over, scarring not only my face, but my confidence as well. Since then, I have discovered 5 very simple and basic steps to keep pimples away!

#1 Drink lots of water
When I got dengue, I was forced to drink water non stop and was going to the washroom twice an hour, at least. It was wayyy more than my usual intake of 500ml a day (I will shrivel up one day) and I noticed that my skin looked fantastic LOL My skin was plump, clear and wrinkles were less defined.

#2 Wash pillow case often
So much dirt from your hair sticks to your pillow every night! If you change your pajamas often, why not your pillow case too? The accumulated dirt will get on your face when you sleep. This also applies to anything you hug so Hippo gets a nice little wipe down once in a while.

#3 Always remove makeup before bed
No matter how lazy or sleepy you are, make sure you remove your makeup before sleeping!! And I don't mean skipping straight to facial wash either.. I've had a couple of 'lazy nights' and I have always regretted in the morning as I look at myself in the mirror and Ms Pimple on my cheek.

#4 Avoid peanuts
I finally found one of the causes of my childhood pimple face - peanut butter. It devastated (sorta) me to know that my one true love was fueling my nemesis. Oh, the betrayal! Well, I live with minimal peanuts now; quota reserved for Chinese New Year dinners while waiting for the dishes to arrive.

#5 Stick to skincare routine
And lastly... stick to your skincare routine. If you can't, get an easier routine!

If you're not ready for the commitment of 12 products to be applied day and night, Clean & Clear offers a very simple and basic skincare routine with just 3 easy steps! Honestly, this is enough if you don't really have a lot of skin problems.

The Clean & Clear Essentials Foaming Facial Wash lathers up very very easily and smells great. It still smells exactly like the first time I sniffed it in Guardian while picking my first facial wash. Yup.. C&C was my FIRST skincare. It was the in thing back then la so I fell for social pressure lolol

After your face is clean, slap on some toner. I like to use a cotton pad to further remove any dirt that wasn't removed. Once that's done, apply an adequate amount of moisturizer and massage in. It feels great to have a little face massage in the morning =D

And you are done! Feel free to leave a comment below with any other tips you recommend! ^_^
