Elf Brightening Eye Colour (Luxe)

Being the el cheapo I am, $1 eyeshadows are just my thing! And this comes with FOUR (4) empat colours! So that's like 25 cents each. Yeah sure, the amount is small but since I rarely use eyeshadow, I can't even finish them anyway.

Cheap cover, cheap applicator, cheap mirror. But ok lah.. Overall it still looks pretty presentable. It's small too so I can pack the whole bunch together in a small box. The cover closes firmly but is really easy to open (if you have long nails, you will understand why I think this is important).

The quality differs among the palettes but this is alright. You can see some lumps in the powder but it's not that chalky. In fact, I think this palette is more buttery.

1 - Light gold colour, shimmery. Good for highlight
2 - Dark red colour (not sure why it's so orange in my swatch)
3 - Taupe, half matte, chalkiest among the 4
4 - Brownish colour, slightly frosty (love these, they really brighten up the area)

Okay, I suck at describing colours LOL Just look at the pics alright?

I used 1, 3 & 4 here.

I also used it for a brighter FOTD HERE in 2010. Just realized I was wearing pink contacts in both =/

My eyeliner's kinda wonky here lolz!

  4. Very subtle shades I see, that's the great thing about elf they're cheap and so it's fun and easy to play with make up! Wish it was more avaliable here! I know you can find elf at smoochiez flees and showroom in singapore but it'd be so lovely if the drugstores brought some in! :P

Nice wearable look there! Hope you get good use of it! :)

  5. hmm..even though you applied primer on half, it doesn't look really pigmented.  However, you pulled off a really lovely look :)  Love the lenses :)

  6. Yes! Especially because the colours shown online aren't very accurate. However, if the shops brought them in, the price would be higher

  7. Yup.. The pigmentation isn't amazing but for the price, it's really good. Definitely better than expected
