For some time now, I've been getting lots of my Korean skincare and makeup from Althea. They're always so interesting and many of the items cannot be found here locally. Recently, Althea has even launched their own loose powder! After trying it out, I can gladly give it a rating of 5/5 ⭐
This product reminds me of the Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Powder and translucent finishing powders from many brands. It is not a foundation. It is meant to be applied after your makeup is done or for touch ups.
The container really is tiny and so convenient to bring out so I can topup a thin layer when my face starts to get oily.
Such a cute tiny puff! It's super soft and nice to apply with. Don't lose it as you need it to stop the powder from coming out excessively.
Compared to some translucent finishing powders I've tried, Althea's is finer and lighter but functions the same. Also, it's ridiculously cheap at only RM 16! Don't worry about the white colour as it will disappear into your skin with blending.
While applying I also noticed it has a subtle scent which is rather nice..
Results
If you use liquid makeup or tend to oil up easily, the Althea Velvet Petal Powder will help with sebum control and pore blurring. Skin instantly becomes matte without getting dried out.
I recommend this especially for girls who prefer very light and natural makeup. You can apply this on top of sunblock for short errands or classes. You won't even feel it and you can fool everyone with your perfect matte skin xD Just don't expect any coverage from it as it's not a foundation.
