Hoyu Beautylabo Colour Care Leave-On Treatment Gel

Thanks Hoyu Malaysia for this ^_^ My hair seriously needs all the nourish it can get after double perming in the same week. So damaged and dry =(

It comes in a supeeeer cute pink bottle that's round and chubby. The pump is smooth and pumps out enough for half of my hair (I apply one half at a time). It's watery so I'm not quite used to it since my other hair serums are oily. Instead of coating my hair with it, it felt like my hair drank it up! xD

Look at my horse mane.. Photo on the right is with the gel. You can obviously see the difference there. My hair is shinier, less fluffy and the curls are more defined. After applying this gel, my hair feels wet lol There's no waxy feel and there is a very light scent in it.

Armed with Macadamia Nut Oil, it's supposed to repair your hair and maintain the colour (Hoyu also has hair dyes).

Overall, I think it's pretty light and too mild for my hair. I need stronger stuff..

Product says : Apply 2-3 pushes to dried/towel dried medium length hair. Do not rinse out. Apply thoroughly to thick, damaged or split hair.

Ingredients : Water, Dimethicone, Propylene Glycol, Alcohol, Glycerin, Myristyl Alcohol, Steartrimonium Chloride, Domethiconol, Aminopropyl Dimethicone, Amodimethicone, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Phenoxyethanol, Behentrimonium Chloride, C12-14 Pareth-12, Fragrance, Butylene Glycol, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Raffinose, Tetrasodium Etidronate, Phenylalanine, Lactic Acid, Polyquaternium-51, Hydrolyzed Conchiolin Protein.
Size : 120 ml
Made in Japan

Pros : Cute bottle, leaves hair shinier, less puffy & moisturized, defines curls, light scent
Cons : Not strong enough for my very dry hair

My conclusion : I like how my hair 'drinks' this up and it feels wet. It makes my hair look healthier and shiny. However, I feel that it isn't enough for my hair as it still gets frizzy and all in a few hours.

** Product was provided by the company for free. However, this has not affected my thoughts on the product in any way.

  1. It's good to know our hair 'drink' up the product we're using. I'm not sure about Hoyu but previously, I was using Liese's products and honestly, the Bubble Hair Dye being sucks big time that it dried out my hair like completely. My hair felt like twig almost for one month before experiencing the worst hair fall problem after that. I cursed Liese's hair dye for the trauma I've been through because my hair means so much to be. Psstt... Can I get insurance for my hair? Hahahaha.

The trauma went ont for 2 months before I finally had to visit this haircare retail at Kepong and the owner actually introduced Keo-Ral-Se 3D Fruit Oil to me. I blogged about it in my April Favourites. He told me he is very certain after I'm done with the first bottle, I will be returning to get the second bottle.

True enough, I am done with the first bottle - I bought it about 8 months ago. Considering I've applied it generously everyday, for RM39 only, what else can I complain except that this fruit oil is miraculous! It soothes my hair like instantly, making my dry hair more manageable and also soft! Even my sister's horrible hair after perming for 3 times and dyeing 2 times in a row, turned so, so dried you wouldn't wanna see. She's addicted to this product! We went back and bought 2 bottles each!

Hahaha... that's how crazy we are! You can consider using it.

  2. Any other Liese stuff you tried? Was just browsing them today! The girl recommended the bubble hair dye to me too. I think I'll rather go to the salon.. XD

That's really cheap lor.. RM39 for 8 months? Expected this 'miracle serum' to be like few hundreds xD

  3. Erm... I have phobia towards Liese's products after that. My friend gave the same feedback, just go to salon since Liese's dye isn't worth it and it makes her hair so dry!

Sister was opting for the sculpting jelly from Liese but after trying out and compared to the 'miracle serum,' she changed her mind. Hahaha... I'm a bad influence. Yes, it's RM39 only. I thought it was stated on the tag RM59 but uncle charged RM39 only. Hahaha... finish up your Hoyu and if you're interested, I can always go back and get for you :)
