[Beauty] The Body Shop Christmas 2018 Collection - Enchanted by Nature

So in love with the enchanted forest evening The Body Shop hosted for us! It's amazing how they transformed Glasshouse Seputeh into a very beautiful forest, in line with this year's Christmas theme.

I think we all love the idea of an enchanted forest because it's so pretty right? However, the beauty of our real forests is disappearing.

Join me in an effort to protect what makes this world beautiful! This Christmas, every purchase at The Body Shop will help protect and re-wild over 10 million square meters of forest in England and Armenia to ensure our children will see these enchanted forests too. More details on their website.
The Body Shop gift sets
I'm impressed with their efforts to reduce waste this gifting season. The Body Shop uses these gift boxes which are handcrafted with recycled materials by expert artisans in Nepal which provide their workers with fair, equal wage. They actually look really presentable and are already gift-ready!

This contribution will support World Land Trust and Woodland Trust as part of The Body Shop International’s World Bio-Bridges Mission. Without action, the wildlife in the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley on the English-Welsh border will become increasingly isolated and restricted to small pockets of disconnected woodland.

The Caucasus Wildlife Refuge is located in a biodiversity hotspot and home to one of Armenia’s most threatened species, the Caucasian leopard. Protecting these forests and their precious wildlife means they can continue to enchant future generations with their revitalising beauty and biodiversity.
The Body Shop Malaysia has also worked with and contributed to various NGOs:
  • Sisters In Islam with RM31,673
  • Women’s Aid Organisation with 31,521.80 from the sale of Candles of Conscience
  • Association of Women Lawyers with RM6,217.40 from End Child Marriage
  • Malaysian Aids Foundation with RM4,713.80 from the sale of condoms in stores
They also donated RM400,080 to Wildlife Conservation Society through their Kick The Bag Habit campaign: funds are generated from the sale of paper bags (RM0.50) should customers need them, or RM0.50 donated by TBS if customers refuse a bag.

During the event we also got to try these beautiful desserts created by Marcus Low from Mad Hatter Desserts. Marcus was a runner up at Master Chef Asia 2015 so it was incredible to taste something he created. The desserts not only looked whimsical, but tasted amazing as well.
