[Food] Softcore Molten Chocolate Lava Cakes, Bandar Sunway

Out of the many desserts I have tried, one of my favourites is definitely molten chocolate lava cake!! And here we have a whole restaurant dedicated to them xD They have 5 different flavours here - Dark Chocolate, Salted Caramel, Matcha, Peanut Butter & White Chocolate - ranging from RM 13-15.

Softcore Molten Chocolate Lava Cakes

The interior is really white and bright, with a variety of seating areas including sofas, rectangular wooden tables and couple seats by the wall. There are also two tables outdoors.

Water is free and self-service here. There is also a big container of cucumber infused water so we gave it a try. Even though there are also grapefruit slices in the water, it really just tastes VERY strongly of cucumbers. Almost like it was blended cucumbers! A very interesting and refreshing drink but I’ll stick to normal water.. =x

Salted Caramel RM 13
The warm molten cake was a sweet treat with a hint of salted caramel and butterscotch sauce. Coupled with the popcorn and sand crumble, it had an interesting combination of textures, ranging from crunchy popcorn to melting ice-cream. However, we soon had bits of popcorn stuck in between our teeth and did not finish the rest of the popcorn.

Dark Chocolate RM 15
Despite costing RM 2 more than the Salted Caramel, Dark Chocolate was hands down our favourite of the bunch! I absolutely loved the super rich chocolatey taste from the 70% belgian dark chocolate oozing out from the center as we cut it open. The sweetness was balanced by the sour strawberries, blueberries and cherry jam. Each molten cake came with the same sand crumble and homemade vanilla ice-cream.

The bright and colourful colours also made this molten cake the most photogenic one.

Peanut Butter RM 15
Although I usually stay away from peanuts, I HAD to try this after experiencing the heavenly Dark Chocolate. The peanut butter and caramelized peanuts gave it only a slighty nutty taste. As someone who loves peanut butter, I would have appreciate more of it. What I found interesting though was the filo banana fritter which is basically a 'pisang goreng' which turns really sweet after being fried.

Thanks for waiting for me to take pics before you (literally) dig in xD
