A Place of Magical Indulgence

Was craving for something sweet so I consulted the Oracle of the Seventh Heaven in hopes that it will tell me where to go.

A little Genie (Tania) appeared and guided me to Haagen-Dazs!

"Control yourself, Isabel!"
But how...? When you're surrounded by so much ice-cream?

Once I regained my sanity, I noticed that the Oracle had prepared a platter of delightful treats.

Seventh Heaven

7 scoops of your choice of ice-cream served with fresh, sweet and sour fruit drizzled in chocolate sauce. Here, we had a range of ice-cream including Chocolate, Cookies & Vanilla Cream, Green Tea, Salted Caramel, Mango Sorbet and Coffee.
Price: RM 61

Water is poured into a glass holding dry ice to create the misty effect. 10 points for presentation!

The Eiffel Tower
If you can't go to the Eiffel Tower, bring the Eiffel Tower to you! Rich Belgian chocolate and cookies & vanilla cream ice-cream on a strong brownie base, topped with a fresh raspberry. I loved the outlook and the fact that all of the decorations are edible. Waste not.. Plus the brownie wasn't too dry.
Price: RM 40

As if that wasn't romantic enough, Haagen-Dazs has a special Valentine's edition which comes with two heart-shaped Raspberry Sorbet which had all the girls swooning. It looked and tasted amazing. The sour berry taste will remind patrons of the sweet excitement of their first love. It's perfect to treat your girlfriend with. Eat it quick, though!

Melt her heart, not the ice-cream.

Haagen-Dazs Fondue
OMG! Needless to say we were all excited over this.
Price: RM 68

Mini scoops of ice-cream balanced with refreshing fruit. Dip in your choice of milk chocolate or dark chocolate. I tried the former and it was so so goooood! The melted chocolate coats the ice-cream in a sweet shell which melts in your mouth into this yummy mouthful of goodness. I especially liked the juicy green apple too - the sour flavour went well with the chocolate.

Confession - the chocolate was so amazing we ended up pouring the leftover on the other ice-cream as well

The fondue was so dazs good,
we thought we went up to haagen

(geddit geddit?)

Banana Caramel Crepe
Fluffy crepe with banana slices and drizzled with caramel sauce. Served with Caramel Biscuits & Cream ice-cream, it was a yummy dessert with a bite.
Price: RM 31

P.S. This ice-cream flavour was really yummy!

The Haagen-Dazs Crunch
Embark on a journey of flavours and textures with layers of ice-cream, crunchy wafer cone/cookies, almond nibs and whipped cream.
Price: RM 24.50 each

i) Salted Caramel Crunch - for the sweet tooth
ii) Mango and Vanilla & Cream Crunch - mango and peach for a fruity twist
iii) Chocolate Crunch - for the chocolate lovers

My choice of drink?

Belgian Chocolate Mocha

Belgian Chocolate and Coffee ice-cream blended with a shot of espresso and hot milk. Topped with whipped cream and chocolate sauce. The beverage was dense and rich yet not too sweet, as some mochas are. Both of the ice-creams used in this drink were in my top 5 favourites so this drink was really meant for me.
Price: RM 22

Casual #OOTD for the day~
Camo top from Bangkok with sandals from Scholl. Paper bag from Haagen-Dazs xD

We went for a food review,
where the menu was new.
We were filled to the brim,
with fondue and ice-cream.

Poor Tania was pitiful,
for she longed for a spoonful.
Salted caramel, green tea or coffee,
anything to fill her tummy.

But all she could do,
was look down at her shoe.
And wish the Saturday,
was not a working day.

So Haagen-Dazs,
Can I please eat this again with Tania to repay her for bringing me to this awesome place?

Thanks again for having us!

Life Juice Co, 1 Utama - Cold Pressed Juice in a Bottle

I won myself these bottles of cold pressed juice from Life Juice Co by playing an Uber game. Thanks! Picked them up at 1 Utama (near Lavender bakery).

Yum! Doesn't this look refreshing?

What's your favourite combination? The ingredients include fruits and vegetables - not full of sugar or watered down. The juice is extracted using cold press method which keeps more of the good stuff in it.

Read the back of the bottle to find out what benefits it provides. Some lower blood pressure while others control cholesterol levels.

The one I'm drinking right now is Beet-le Juice because it's good for my eyes! Though I found it a little strange as it contains cayenne pepper which gave the strong celery taste a spicy flavour.

Citrus Blast is quite nice too if you like orange juice. 500 Days of Summer is a sweet drink that tastes strongly of strawberries.

Would you pay RM 12.90 for these 300 ml bottles? Because that is how much they cost! I wouldn't say they're cheap but organic fruits aren't cheap plus the machine they use to make the juice is $$$.

P.S. Watch this hilarious video where people are served 'unhealthy' concoctions rebottled and rebranded to look like cold pressed juice.

[Review] Makeup Revolution Lip Power - Everything's Alright

Did you know.. Taking a photo while lying down makes you look better? xD Even better if the source of light is from the direction of your chin hahaha!

Today I'm writing about Makeup Revolution, the brand that has arrived in Malaysia to sell it's affordable cosmetics. The product here is their dual-ended Makeup Revolution Lip Power which has both lipstick and gloss for the low price of RM 24.

A random shade was sent to me so I'm glad it's "Everything's Alright" cos it's a pretty light pink.

First.. Testing out the gloss. Not too sticky but it has barely any colour. Maybe just for that hurried touchup before you dash out of the house. It has very fine shimmers in it that make your lips look plump. It wears comfortably and doesn't feel heavy.

Next, lipstick by itself. It is absolutely gorgeous! A light matte pink that glides well (considering it's a matte colour). I don't do light pinks very well but this was surprisingly very wearable.

I like how it doesn't dry out my lips too much unlike other mattes. This is probably one of the rare brands with matte colours that dry lips can use.

If you're not digging the matte look, you can always top it with the gloss. I can wear both for different moods ^_^

[Fashion] 4 Ways to Wear Your Cardigan

Got this cardigan from Showroom Korea and thought the colour was rather eye-catching. It was even on sale because it was the last colour available! I love sales~

Thanks for the beanie, Tania and Gucci Glasses are from Vision Spa.

Cardigans don't have to be boring; I found 4 ways to wear mine:

#1 Draped over another piece
Especially if you work in an air-conditioned office, this look may be very familiar. I literally had a cardi on my chair as a permanent-resident because I would wear one everyday.

#2 Button up!
I still wanted to keep it casual-looking so I didn't button all the way down. You can wear it as a top alone too but this particular cardi is rather sheer so a tube is needed.

3# Crop top
Leave the last 2 buttons undone and tie both sides into a knot. Secure by buttoning the last button so the knot doesn't come undone.

The Laurel Skorts are from Showroom too! They're not really skorts though.. Skorts are usually shorts inside a skirt or have a flap of fabric on the front. However, this one is more of a skirt with a tiny piece of fabric between your thighs. Something I can only explain with a photo.. LOL So although it wears like shorts, you still gotta sit like it's a skirt.

The quality is really good and I love it!

#4 Wrap skirt for the beach
I particularly chose this cardigan for this purpose because of its sheer material. Basically, you wrap the cardigan around your waist, button up and tie the sleeves into a knot.

Not too bad right? Gonna go hunt for more sale items at Showroom Korea.

[Review] Beauty Talk 3D Refining Day Cream

I've seen several other bloggers mentioning this product but I've always thought it's a moisturizer from the name - Day Cream. Boy, was I surprised!

Reviewing Beauty Talk 3D Refining Day Cream

Thanks Modbox for sending this to me.

Beauty Talk 3D Refining Day Cream from Modbox

UV Protection | Moisturizes | Whitens | Makeup Base

The Beauty Talk 3D Refining Day Cream is a multipurpose product which protects skin from UV, moisturizes, whitens and serves as a makeup base.
Specially formulated to deeply moisturize and whiten skin, this 3D Refining Day Cream goes on to delay skin aging, increase skin’s ability to protect itself from UV rays AND its special 3D techonology with natural pearl powder attracts external light into the top layers of skin to create a smooth radiant appearance.

Beauty Talk 3D Refining Day Cream

Funny how it has this strange alien-like pump head LOL The hole where the cream comes out from is actually underneath the pump head so it doesn't smudge cream all over the cover when it's closed.

Beauty Talk 3D Refining Day Cream pump

Ta-da! I got a rude shock when I discovered that it's tinted! (Bad blogger did not research beforehand lol)

Beauty Talk 3D Refining Day Cream on finger

It's really light and has a gel-cream kind of consistency.

Beauty Talk 3D Refining Day Cream spread on arm

Usually I only apply concealer on my undereyes (you will see why later) but I'm applying this all over for the review.

Applying Beauty Talk 3D Refining Day Cream

IRL it's visibly slightly fairer than my natural skin colour. Skin looks powdery smooth, even and brighter with it on. It's like a lighter version of BB Cream! I like I like..

Before and after Beauty Talk 3D Refining Day Cream

FYI, I can't use BB Cream nor any liquid foundations now because my uber dry skin will flake. This product still makes me flake but less. If I apply ample amount of moisturizer and gently pat it in, it's still bearable. I do like how it makes my skin look without the sticky feeling of foundation. If you're one who likes light & natural makeup, you can give this a try.

Using Beauty Talk 3D Refining Day Cream
If you zoom in, you can see how dry my skin is

The Beauty Talk 3D Refining Day Cream retails for RM 169 at Modbox.
