Lazy Meals with Foodpanda

There was one time that le Bf left the house with my set of keys and I was actually stuck inside my house with no way out. Then my tummy started calling out to me and I was forced to order McDelivery but found out that they have minimum order. So I ended up having to buy enough food for lunch AND dinner =/ It was something like a burger, 2 sundaes, 2 apple pies, 2 large fries and a large Coke. Le awkward moment when he had to pass me the food one by one through the grill of the gate lolol

But then now there's foodpanda! Wasn't really convinced with the idea at first. However, I was seriously craving for Jap food but had to babysit at home. So okay lah.. Give it a shot.

First, you must understand that not all restaurants are within your range so do a little check to see which ones can deliver to you on the foodpanda website. Or you can also do this via their mobile app which you can find on Google Play, App Store or Windows Phone Store.

Because my area is near to Paradigm Mall, I have access to lots of restaurants there plus some outside. Yay! I found Sakae Sushi on the list ngek ngek

Ordered dinner for 2 from the comforts of my home. Lazy max.. Quite convenient for days that you get locked in  your house.

6 minutes later, I received a confirmation SMS and then less than 25 minutes later, I got my food! In total, I waited 29 minutes which is pretty awesome since I would have spent a longer time actually going there and finding parking then tapau. The delivery guy, Murum(?), was quite friendly also. Although he got a bit of a shock when I asked him for a photo xD

To tell the truth, I was expecting broken sushi and all but they arrived safe.

Complete with wasabi and soy sauce woot!

Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with the service and speed. They do charge RM 4 for delivery but you can keep an eye out for the deals as some of them have free delivery.

NARS Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow Review

Expanding my NARS collection with these brand new Dual-Intensity Eyeshadows! I had already reviewed the NARS Tropical Princess Duo Eyeshadow, Baalbek Eye Paint & Libertango Nail Polish previously.

Each eyeshadow has 2 uses, dry and wet, that will create different effects.

I'm going to show a little eye makeup tutorial using these eyeshadows and the NARS Wet/Dry Eyeshadow Brush #49.

Callisto is a beautiful silver with pink tones while Sycorax is a silky black colour.

For Callisto, refer to the Dry swatch for a more accurate colour. Basically, the wet look is more intense while the dry one is a soft sweep of colour. The texture was buttery smooth as usual and easy to apply.

Sweet Day Makeup
For a very sweet, romantic day look, I am applying NARS Callisto dry all over my lids with a bit of mascara and no eyeliner. If you prefer, you may line your eyes lightly.

I love how the subtle colour is suitable for daily use and the shimmer brings attention to your eyes. I paired it with a nude lipstick topped with a light pink one for girly pink lips.

Sexy Night Look
For this transformation, I wet the NARS Wet/Dry Eyeshadow Brush #49 and dipped gently into the palette (careful, it's soft!).

Layered over Callisto, NARS Sycorax was an attention seeker.

Pop on some red lipstick and you're good to go!

TGV Indulge 1 Utama Review (Dinner & Movie)

INDULGE in a new experience, unique and different from the others at TGV Indulge!

With its own counter at TGV Indulge, you need not queue up with the other halls and treat yourself to some VIP-ness.

Cinema

Are you ready to see what the TGV Indulge cinema looks like?

Ta-da! Each patron gets a reclining chair, a small table, their own fluffy blanket and a button with which they may call for the waiter. The blankets are kept clean with daily washes and it was certainly one of the most comfortable cinema experiences I've had so far.

Food in cinemas are no longer limited to popcorn and nuggets! Items from the restaurant may be brought in with a bento box. Food such as steak or chicken are cut into smaller pieces for easy eating.

Interior

Now back to the restaurant.. Treat yourself to classy fine-dining with jazz music softly playing in the background. There are proper tables for eating and coffee tables with sofas. If you fancy, you can opt for a drink at the bar.

Price & Portion

Surprisingly, the price is kept reasonable with nothing over RM 30, considering the type of food they serve and the look of the place. No complains about the portion size. You can see it for yourself below.

Taste

Pumpkin Salad
Rocket leaves, honey roasted pumpkin, cherry tomatoes and capsicums. I especially enjoyed the generous Balsamic dressing with the crunchy salad.

Smoked Duck Salad
Smoked duck breast served with mesclun greens, capsicum, & skewed with kiwi and balsamic vinegar. The duck had a moderately smoky flavour but it was enough for a starter, without potentially ruining your main course.

Lamb Koftas
The round balls of lamb patties had a heavy taste of tumeric and were absolutely delicious. They were slightly salty but alright when paired with the green salad.

Stuffed Potato Skins
This was one of my favourites of the night - potato skins stuffed with turkey bacon and mozzarella. The crunchy potato matched with the savoury bacon was so simple yet so delectable. I recommend you to tapau this into the cinema!

Cajun Chicken
This was another favourite at the table. The boneless chicken thigh was perfectly grilled to give juicy and soft flesh packed full of flavour with Cajun seasoning. Yum! I absolutely loved this.

Grilled Salmon
A thick slice of salmon resting on mashed potatoes with vegetables on the side. I did find the salmon slightly dry but nothing the lemon butter sauce couldn't fix. It was fresh and not fishy. I also liked the mushrooms in the greens.

Grilled Lamb Rack
Treat your date with this platter of lamb rack with seasonal vegetables and rosemary sauce. Just the right amount of bite and not too dry. I'm usually sensitive towards the taste of lamb but this was actually quite tasty.

Panna Cotta
Thick Italian cooked cream topped with fruits. I enjoyed it with the raspberry puree. Only wish they had more raspberry! This dish had me scraping the plate to pick up every bit.

Nutty Tortilla Banana
Tortilla slices filled with peanut butter, cornflakes and freshly sliced banana. I found the tortilla too tough and potentially messy to be eaten in the cinema hall. However, I do like peanut butter and appreciate the combination of textures.

If you would like a 3-course meal, I would say go for the Stuffed Potato Skins, Cajun Chicken and Panna Cotta~

Ended the night with a cup of hot chocolate (RM 9) and small talk with the girls. Never thought I would say this but hanging out at this cinema was fun!

I'm terribly afraid of hair fall. There was once it got so bad, I was convinced that I was turning bald! I got pretty embarrassed about it and would constantly remove hair from my clothes. Can you imagine that each time I got up from my chair, I would find it surrounded by my hair? D= And there have been countless times that I thought there was a cockroach crawling on me, only to find that it was my hair urgh!
