MEFA Malaysia Wedding Festival (2-4 May 2014)

A lot of my friends are getting married and I know it's such a hassle to go all over the place to find everything just to make that perfect wedding. So to make things easier, here's MEFA, one of the biggest wedding fairs in Malaysia with over 70 vendors under one roof!

The 6th MEFA Malaysia Wedding Festival will be held this weekend and is organized by Qistina Avenue with MyDream Wedding and EDM Events Photography, with support from Tourism Malaysia & Cuti-Cuti 1 Malaysia.

Venue : Shah Alam Convention Centre (SACC)
Date : 2-4 May (Fri-Sun)
Time : 10am - 10pm

Instead of visiting 70 shops, MEFA is bringing them to you! All in the comfort of an indoor air conditioned building. Entry is free so it's worth a visit.

You'll be able to browse catering service providers, pelamin, bridal gowns, find Mak Andam, videographer/photographer and even a wedding planner.

Mirror Mirror Hair Salon & Make Up Studio, Solaris Mont Kiara

This is the prettiest salon that I have ever been to! Love love love the wallpaper and the interior decoration and the flowers x_x

Mirror Mirror is located on the same row as Dr Cafe and Amante. There is an RM 1 basement parking 3 minutes walk away which I highly recommend.

I was surprised that they even put the effort to decorate the stairwell. Where does she get all these vintage stuff!?

It's a small and quaint salon, which I like cos your hair gets more attention. Previously, another salon left my hair dye on for an extra 30 minutes because he was busy with another customer. "Oh, the colour needs a longer time" - please don't lie to me! Thankfully, Jaja (the owner) and her helper are extremely friendly. She's honest and actually cares about your hair!

It took me a while to realize that the brick wall was actually a wallpaper =/ 

Some of the colours they have here. They use Lakme products which I have no problem with at all. My hair doesn't feel damaged nor dry after the chemical treatment. But of course, that could also be cos Jaja insists that ALL chemical treatments must come with hair treatment because taking care of your hair is of utmost importance.

Heater to enhance the effectiveness of the product. 

The hair-wash area has a golden curtain to offer some privacy. I found the hair wash combined with the environment to be relaxing.

Jaja commented that my hair colour was very faded and orange so she mixed the colour to revive my hair. Our goal was a more chestnut colour but due to my copper base from previous hair colours, it still becomes slightly redder under sunlight.

No complains! It's a nice colour and my hair looks better with it.

Slightly more copper & pink toned under the sun.. 

Btw, I found out that they also have that CO2 scalp treatment for oily scalps! It is supposed to wash away the dirt and oil that has accumulated.

Psst.. They have a really pretty couch for your boyfriends to wait at too xD

How to Change Facebook Page Names (After 200 Likes)

I bought a domain name recently and it was soooo annoying that it now does not match my Facebook Page name which is still Sugar Coated Muffin. As you might know, you cannot change the name of any Facebook pages which have more than 200 likes. Or can you..?

Download this extension/app on your browser called "Hola Better Internet". You're gonna use it to trick the website into thinking that you're in the US. Somehow, they only allow page name changes there =/

Of course, this is just an example of how it will look like. You're supposed to open it at Facebook, not anywhere else.

Using Hola Better Internet

1) Sign out of your Facebook account

2) Open the Hola Better Internet

3) Change to US

4) Login to Facebook

Go to your desired page.

Edit page - Update page info - Name

You will now notice that this 'Request Change' is beside your page name! Click on it..

If you're lead to this page, simply refresh.

Ta-da! 

Key in your new page name. It says that you can only make subtle changes but selecting

'I am rebranding my Page'

allows more leniency.

Below, you will have to provide proof. I simply inserted a screenshot of my Blogger Dashboard where it shows that I'm redirecting to www.theisabellee.com

*Upload photos that are relevant to your company

Click Save. It will take a while for the change to happen.

Now if you hover over the [?], it will reveal when your new page name will take place. You might have received an e-mail as well.

Within the 14 days, Facebook will inform everyone who has liked your page about the change.

As you can see on my Facebook Page, it is no longer Sugar Coated Muffin but theisabellee.com

Congrats! You have successfully changed your Facebook page name despite being told that you CANNOT =D Now go share the news~
