I came back from college one day and found this strange apple sitting quietly on my table.

*gasp*

Is this the poison apple from Snow White?!

Indeed IT IS!

Actually the 'witch' was giving her this magical apple to make her prettier.

But she misunderstood it and ate it. Then she choked on it and pengsan-ed.

The Lilac Cutout Dress

I was lugging a luggage on wheels behind me, going through floors and floors of shops in Platinum Mall. Sure, they were alright.. But nothing really impressed me until I saw this shop, full of 250 baht good quality dresses, in all sorts of colours =O

It's where I got this amazing lilac dress for RM 25! I know you can find RM 25 dresses at Sungei Wang too but the quality is not as good and they don't really have colours like lilac, mint etc.

The material is thick and comfy. No complains about the sewing.

Love the slighty flared skirt! The size was perfect for me. Maybe a lil too short but oh well! I can forgive it xD

Bloop Candy Duo Lipstick (05 Magic Pink)

The Bloop Candy Duo Lipstick is special in a few ways. Can you guess how?

1) It's a lipstick and lip gloss together in 1 container! Push out the lipstick and the cap remains inside so you won't lose it.

2) The lipstick is.. clear coloured?

No, actually the lipstick is a 'Magic' one as it changes colour from clear to Pink! Layer to get a darker colour.

The gloss does appear to be slightly coloured but I would consider it to be clear.

3) The lipstick is also actually a lip stain and is very long lasting. It has a rather matte finish but is not as drying as they usually are. I would definitely top up with the gloss as I have dry lips but it does give you the option to have matte or shiny lips.

Since I've already reviewed the Bloop Candy Lipstick and Lip Gloss, what is the difference? The Candy Lipstick has more of a creamy texture and is more natural looking although the colour can be layered. Comparing without gloss, I think the Candy Lipstick is better for dry lips.

However, the Magic lip stain in the Candy Duo Lipstick is perfect for long days because the colour doesn't fade! The colour is also really striking and attention grabbing. If you're one who applies both lipstick and gloss all the time, why not get this so you don't have to carry two separate products, right? You can also choose between matte and glossy lips.

Modbox - Which One to Pick?

From my previous excitement, I expected great things for the second Modbox. Take note this is the Blogger Kit so it contains more items than usual.

So was it great? For RM 9 + delivery, not bad.. not bad..

For the Modbox, you pick 3 products and for each product, you have a choice between 2 or 3 brands.

Product 1 : Murad OR Dermedex

Some time back, every beauty box was giving out Murad so people got sick of it. I didn't so.. I still like the brand ever since I tried their foaming cleanser.

Murad Resurgence Hydrating Toner (RM128/180ml)
The sample is 15ml, which is about RM 10.60. Already worth more than the RM 9 you paid! It has a sweet fruity scent that is rather refreshing. Definitely nice to use on a hot day. As it comes with a spray pump, it's travel friendly~

Although I don't find anything special about it, it's not a bad product. The range addresses the signs of hormonal aging, improving hydration and restoring suppleness. Witch hazel in the toner tightens pores as well. The toner is watery and clear. It absorbs fast into skin, adding hydration and feels comfortably light.

Dermedex Biotox Cleanser (RM120/50ml) & Refining Cream 2 (RM165/30ml)
I already received this previously from another beauty box and I didn't like it from the whole way it was packaged and the people behind it who tried to make me do free advertising. However, I will try it out nonetheless.. Firstly, these tubes are a pain in the arse. It was an immense pain to pierce the opening and I only managed to get the product out on the 2nd day cos I gave up on the first. But because it's a metal tube, it came oozing out non stop. But it's okay.. I only need 3 days worth of product to prove it, right? The cleanser does not lather up but it does clean (slightly too drying for me). Refining Cream 2 (not pictured cos I was too pissed off to grab my camera), supposedly treats pimples, acne, open pores and dull complexion. I have all of those but no, didn't solve my problems at all. Both products felt minty cool and are better for people with acne prone/oily skin.

Product 2 : Human Nature OR Lavera

Human Nature Moisturizing Shampoo with CreamFoam
(RM11.90/50ml | RM22.90/200ml | RM44.90/500ml)
Human Nature products are free from SLS, ALS, parabens and other harmful chemicals. For those of you who like to use natural products, you can give this brand a shot. The small 50ml bottle is for sale so it's great for traveling! I wouldn't say it is the cheapest brand but you know how natural products are..

Being SLS-free, I expected it to be really hard to lather but it turned out to be not bad.. Smells amazingly of citrus, which I love love love! Infused with coconut nectar, organic avocado oil and gua gum, it made my hair feel soft and smooth.

Lavera Basis Sensitiv Hand Cream (unavailable in retail at the moment)
Battle of the natural products! This German product uses ingredients from certified organic agriculture and contains natural essential oils. Shea butter is one of my favourite ingredients for body lotions as it's quite moisturizing. I think emu oil is better but that comes with a hefty price tag. It has a pleasant smell which all shea butter products have and absorbs quickly. Unfortunately, this is not available locally yet.

Product 3 : Ronasutra OR Kneipp

I've already reviewed Ronasutra in my previous Modbox and it is great. Even my friend loves it.

The other choice was 3 sachets of Kneipp products, each 8-10ml.

Kneipp Lavender Herbal Body Oil (RM67/100ml)
Apply after showers to lock in moisture. Has a lavender scent for aromatherapy. Even though it's an oil, it isn't as oily as I expected.

Kneipp Eucalyptus Herbal Bath (RM67/100ml)
Don't have a tub so can't try it out lol It has eucalyptus which can relieve flu, sinuses, allergies and aches.

Kneipp Almond Blossom Body Lotion (RM89/200ml)
Jojoba oil helps the other oils to penetrate deep into skin to deeply moisturize. It has a rather strong sweet scent that lingers for a bit. The lotion absorbs well and is not too oily. However, if you wait a bit, you won't even feel it there anymore. I wouldn't mind using this at all!

[Giveaway] Hishop Mystery Mask Set

I think the new Hishop box looks so much better compared to the previous one! Lets see what's inside~~

Inside, I found 3 masks from Dr. Post. They're special because the mask comes with a serum. I've tried a similar one from MBD but for Dr. Post, the serum is applied before mask, which actually sounds more logical.

Starting with the Dr. Post Snail Aquaring SOS Mask (RM16.90) because I think sufficient moisture is the most important and should be the first step to solving your skin issues.

There's about one tablespoon of serum which is a lot. After massaging 10000 times it finally absorbed x_x BUT it is a good serum. Show you why later..

Step 2!

The mask is the fabric type which is thick and holds a lot of essence. It covers a portion of the undereye area and I think the shape is quite alright.

Dr. Post Syn-Ake Anti Wrinkle SOS Mask (RM 16.90)
Kinda the same with the previous mask.. Clear thick serum that takes a while to absorb due to its amount.

I didn't take a photo inside cos it's the same.

Now, why is it that I say the serum is good? Well, after you finally get all of it to absorb, you will find that your skin is so much more moisturized and supple. With that, fine lines are less noticeable and complexion glows. I also noticed that stubborn clogged pores were able to be squeezed after both applications. Before this, my skin is so dry that it's really difficult for me to get the dirt out. You can use this mask before your facial sessions to make extraction easier.

Dr. Post V-Tox Acculifting Patch (RM21.90)
Who doesn't want a sharper face right?? I do believe that frequent 'lifting exercise' can help counter sagging skin.

This serum is more milky coloured. It is a 'lifting-up hot serum', which I assume helps with the function of the mask. Indeed it was rather warm! Warning : May irritate sensitive lips. The amount is ridiculous as it's meant only for the jaw & chin region.

The mask has 2 sides! The outer side is a soft fabric while the inside is adhesive so it comes with a plastic sheet which you remove before application.

Make sure you place the 'v' on your chin, below your lip.

Hold the 'v' in place and pull the sides up and hook them on your ears.

Lolol I look like I have mumps or something =/ Keep it there for 30-40 minutes and you may remove it. I do feel like my skin is slightly lifted but in order to get results, you have to do it consistently, not just once!
