Fishball Noodle @ B & Best Restaurant

Brought here by my parents to try their apparently famous fishball noodles. It's a corner shop btw.

Typical kopitiam setting with lots of seating available.

The place looks clean with adequate utensils and even a huge packet of tissues on each table.

Warning : This is really spicy! Freshly made sambal belacan with lots of chopped chilli to go with your food.

This is the Fishball Noodle (mihun) which costs RM 5.50. You can add on other ingredients like fish head (RM 14) too. The basic one comes with fried fish paste, a tiny bit of seaweed, a couple of leaves and 5 bouncy fishballs.

There isn't much taste in the bowl so you're better off adding some chilli but it's so spicy, I had to skip it and ended up having a less than satisfying meal. Also, I had mine with glass noodles and it was sadly overcooked so the noodles were really flimsy (and oddly thinner than usual) like mihun. Not too impressed.. Tang House of Fishball is way better.

Tebe Exfoliating Soap Bar

FYI, I love eating olives! Olives on pizza, olives in my Subway sandwich and even olives straight out of the jar! Now I can have olives on my body and face xD Well, not really.. But the products at Olive & Tebe are all enriched with the goodness of olives~

Olive and Tebe products

The products are all made in New Zealand and not tested on animals.

Olive and Tebe product range

The main product I'll be reviewing today is the Tebe Exfoliating Soap Bar, priced at RM 68 for 170 g

Tebe Exfoliating Soap Bar ingredients list

The soap smells amazing! It has this light and fresh scent that's not overwhelming at all.

Tebe Exfoliating Soap

You can see the tiny brown bits which will gently scrub away dead skin to reveal the newer skin underneath. The formula keeps your skin moisturized too so I haven't had any problems with it despite my dry skin.

The size of this soap is quite big so I attempted to chop it into 3 pieces. Unfortunately, it sorta broke into many pieces. It's really hard and dense, not something that will melt easily which is great since you'll be using the bar directly on your skin. To ensure it lasts the longest, make sure you leave it out to dry after using!

If you're not a fan of soap bars, they also have a shower gel but I'm more interested in the shampoo.

I also got to try some of the face products!

Tebe Face Cleansing Milk (RM 116/100 ml)

Tebe Face Cleansing Milk review

A creamy cleanser to remove make-up, tone skin and protect from dryness. Tebe Cleansing Milk, a gentle, milky cleanser with olive leaf extract, helps remove your make-up while toning your skin and protecting it from dryness. Combining extra virgin olive oil with a specially selected blend of natural plant oils and extracts that gently moisturise, soothe and soften your skin. Cleansing and make-up removal has never felt better.

Effectively removes dirt, sunblock, foundation, lipstick and waterproof eyeliner! It doesn't leave any greasiness nor dry my skin out. It is watery enough to soak into the cotton pad instead of just sliding around like some cleansing milks/gels I've encountered.

Tebe Cleansing Face Polish (RM 101/50 ml)

Tebe Cleansing Face Polish review

A deep exfoliating treatment to deeply cleanse the skin. Tebe Face Polish with olive pips and olive leaf extract is a concentrated, deep exfoliating cream. Saturated with nourishing oils, this unique blend helps to remove dead skin cells, excess oil and blackheads, leaving your skin feeling smooth and looking radiant.
Beneficial for all skin types. Use only as directed.

Comes with tiny exfoliating bits which exfoliate efficiently, giving me smoother renewed skin. There are quite a lot of beads so I do feel them working away but use gently to avoid over exfoliating! Only a tiny bit is needed for my face.

Tebe Face Day Cream (RM 154/45 ml)

Tebe Face Day Cream review

A nourishing cream to hydrate and revitalise the appearance of your skin. Combining natural plant oils, this light, antioxidant rich cream leaves your skin feeling smooth, soft and conditioned, all day long.
Beneficial for all skin types. Use only as directed.

As I have combination skin, I only use a tiny bit of this, spread between my fingers before applying on my face. It melts away like a watery-gel type moisturizer and isn't as heavy as it looks. It absorbs completely on my dry cheeks but I do feel it slightly on my T-zone (where I oil up the most). The scent fades after application.

Tebe Face Night Cream (RM 160/45 ml)

Tebe Face Night Cream review

A rich, nourishing treatment to hydrate your skin while you’re sleeping. Awake to hydrated and well-rested skin when you use Tebe Night Cream, a perfect blend of natural plant oils, extracts and extra virgin olive oil. Regularly applied, this rich, nourishing treatment containing olive leaf extract will help keep skin supple and smooth
Beneficial for all skin types. Use only as directed.

Honestly, this feel pretty much like the day cream =/ Probably formulated in a different way to work better at night though.

Mini Updates

Realized my blog is now just full of product reviews, food and ads. Here's some small updates, mainly accompanied by photos on IG xD

Flight (2012) - Denzel Washington! Looked like a good movie, storyline was good but some parts just didn't seem quite right. Like the first part (if not censored in local cinemas) where the girl was walking unnecessarily around naked. Like wtf? Think this is porn meh..? Then the scene at the hospital stairwell, gosh that was one long boring conversation. Glad it picked up pace towards the end and saved the movie.

Spiders (2013) - A movie about huge spiders from outerspace? Sounds cheesy but still possibly an okay watch right? NOPE! Stopped halfway cos it was just too terrible so I'm not sure if it got any better.

If you understand Cantonese and would like a good laugh, catch Hotel Deluxe or Journey to the West instead!

Pinkish eye makeup and pink cheongsam for CNY reunion dinner with Hong Kong relatives + grand uncle's 90th birthday party! The chocolate cake from Celicakes was super nice!

Got new glasses (right) for RM 20 at Vincci but still undecided if I should settle for them to be made into my daily 'powered' glasses. Bf says I've been undecided for a year =x

Was checking out these Heavy Rotation eyebrow mascaras since my hair is browner now. My sis ended up buying one from Dolly Wink but you know.. I'm just undecided wtf Kanebo Lunasol has one too but I haven't had the chance to try it.

Another reunion dinner with sister's in-laws at Hiong Kong Restaurant. Miss the food already!

Baby Carlson's getting big!

Manja like crazy...

Spotted our duck hanging on the wall weirdly wth

Cousin's wedding dinner!

Dress RM 25 from Sungei Wang.

Loved the lil jar of honey they provided for the guest. Such a great alternative to other 'wedding couple items'. Not like we're going to use stuff (salt & pepper shaker, glasses etc) with your names on it =/

First time le bf met my family! Went up to Genting for dinner and it was SO misty outside.

Been testing out this Esmeria shampoo for sensitive scalp. I have been considering switching to organic shampoo ever since I noticed dry flakes on my scalp which weren't dandruff. Noticed Esmeria looking for people to test it and jumped at the opportunity!

Wth back to food again =/ Cannot be avoided!

My first taste of melty egg served with ramen! Omg~~~ So dam good.. I'm not amazed by the food at Sakae Sushi but THAT EGG!

Crazy 6am nasi lemak at Sungai Way. Totally worth it! It's located outside the kopitiam beside the market.

Hooked onto these icy desserts! From UFO because it's near my house. Preferring soya ice over cincau ice nowadays~

Tebe Soap Bar and samples! They're made from olives, which I love eating. Though I wouldn't eat these.. xD

Leaders InSolution masks from CathyJoy!

Enchanteur perfume, won from Fatin's giveaway. Actually smells quite good~ This marks my 3rd bottle lol Not really a perfume collector =/

Prize from Cellnique Blogger Contest. Awesome! I gave the jewellery box away though. I've already tried the body lotion and it's gooodd.. Le bf freaked out when I told him I'm using RM 59 body lotion for his legs lolol

My first beauty box, the Malaysian debut of Vanity Trove. Been digging into the contents happily ;)

And this is when I realize.. I haven't really been updating about my personal life on my blog, FB or Instagram =/ Well I guess nothing much happened and then CNY came and well, nothing really happened as well lolz

Leaders InSolution Vita Bright Skin Renewal Mask

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sugar Coated Muffin x CathyJoy Mask Giveaway!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks to CathyJoy for sending these over to me.

The Vita Bright mask targets skin dryness and brightens skin which are two of my main skin concerns.

The one from CathyJoy doesn't have English translation but I got this from the previous ones I got from Golly Locks.

As I've mentioned before, these masks cover the undereyes as well. Don't have to buy separate eye masks!

The fabric-like sheet holds essence well, remaining moist for more than 15 minutes. It also adheres well to skin.

Skin always feels hydrated after. It will still be quite moist with essence so I massage it in for a bit then rinse off the remainder.

If you're interested in purchasing Leaders InSolution masks, here's a discount code that's valid til 31st of May 2013!
