New Restaurant Ipoh Chicken Rice

The shop is pretty big and it's surrounded by parking but it can be tough finding a spot sometimes. Seatings are available inside and on the corridor.

Rice (RM 1.60/plate) here is just LOVE! Very fragrant and flavourful unlike some shops which use normal white rice with soy sauce and try to pass it as chicken rice.

Bean sprouts (RM 2) were fat and juicy but the chef was too generous with the salty soy sauce. Provided soup was very heavy with taste (can be mistaken as salty) and I didn't quite like it.

Quarter steamed chicken (RM 10) wasn't too fatty and the flesh was soft & smooth. The taste is not bad but it was overwhelmed by the sauce again.

After eating halfway, I found... hair. What's with me and hair in my food recently?!?!

After lunch, my tongue was quite numb from the salty meal. Probably wouldn't return..

Za Perfect Fit Concealer

I hope you girls know the importance of concealers! No matter what kind of makeup you use, it will look much better with a good complexion. We're not all born with perfect skin so concealers become your best friends!

Za has a new Perfect Fit Concealer that aims to camouflage skin imperfections to bring out your natural beauty. And it's pink! The tube, that is..

Comes with a nozzle, which I prefer over a wand as it's cleaner. Very easy to control the amount I want.

There are a total of 3 shades available. Mine is 02 but it is slightly too fair for me. I just use it to conceal & highlight ^_^ The Perfect Fit Concealer contains water holding collagen, Vitamin E and Hyaluronic Acid so application is a breeze without it turning cakey or dry. The Skin Fit Prescription also makes sure it doesn't crease ^_^

Because of it's formula, it's really easy to spread and blend too! I apply dots of it around my eye and blend with my finger.

For the sake of this review, I did not touch up on my skin T_T Dark circles were SUPER bad due to exams. The Perfect Cover Powder in this concealer offers high coverage but I guess it's not enough to fully hide my terrible panda eyes =(

Immediately brightened my undereyes!

Works way better on blemishes though! Because it's moisturizing, it doesn't cake up around my pimple, causing it to look worse.

For a natural-looking, light and comfortable concealer, you could give this a shot.

After concealer, you can apply the Za Perfect Fit Two-Way Foundation to add extra coverage on areas that need it like my panda eyes.

Jojo Little Kitchen, SS2

Searching for food in SS2 and decided on Jojo Little Kitchen since my friend was raving about it. Both of us ordered Fried Pork Pan Mee (RM 7.30) but mine is dry while his is in soup.

The crunchy fried pork was really good!! Quite a number of slices too and topped with lots of crunchy ikan bilis. But I'm afraid that's the end of the compliments. Le bf said it's not even soup but 'water used to wash the vege' as there was barely any taste. Amount of vege was pathetic. Noodles were too thick and hard for our preference.

The dry version was even worse! Observe the sad looking leaves. The dark sauce (underneath) was sweet and when I ate the food with the provided sauce (in saucer), it tasted like iced lemon tea. Not kidding.

To take my mind (or taste buds) off the strange iced lemon tea taste, I smothered it with the dried chilli flakes. Only to find.. a strand of hair inside. I just threw it away, thinking it could be from a disgusting customer.

Also ordered this fried century egg dumpling (RM 6.50 for 3 pcs). The skin is super crispy (it was freshly made and still warm) but slightly oily. The dumpling itself tasted good but I found it to be too salty and the taste of the century egg was overwhelmed. Such a waste.. Also, as I bit inside I found a surprise! Another strand of hair! There's no denying that this time it was definitely from the kitchen as it was inside the dumpling.

Safe to say I won't be dining here again.. =_=" I would rather go back to Super Kitchen Chilli Pan Mee or Face to Face.

Bulgogi Brothers, Pavilion

Laura, Kim, Anna, Rachel and I were starving at Pavilion and decided to fill our tummies at Bulgogi Brothers.

The dish that caught our eyes was this heart shaped Unyangsik! So cute please..

But in the end ALL 5 of us settled for Kimchi Jigae =/

The place is nicely decorated with a warm feeling and the staff are very attentive and polite.

Some welcome food - corn, sweet potato and edamame.

Our side dishes arrived first. Disappointed as there were only 6 types and I only fancied the crunchy lotus root. We asked for a refill of that and stated 'make sure it's enough for 6 people' since there were only 3 slices. He returned with 6 slices lol!

Kimchi Jigae (RM 22.90) is a Korean stew made from spicy Kimchi paste, tofu, rice cakes and sliced beef brisket. It's served in a big bowl with some rice (portion enough for one).

The beef isn't too hard and I absolutely love the rice cakes! You can request for less/more spicy. The soup is great at opening our appetites (we were already starving though) but I wouldn't say it's spectacular.

After our meals, we were treated to a cup of cold plum juice. *slurp* One of the best drinks I've had in my life!

Overall, I think it's a nice place to treat yourself once in a while. I've had similar kimchi jigae at a much lower price so maybe you can try the other stuff.

Senka Hoshitsu Lotion S (Fresh)

After washing my face with the Senka Perfect Whip, my skin has a big gulp of Senka Hoshitsu Lotion!

Mine is the Fresh version which is for normal-oily skin. There is a Moist one for normal-dry skin as well.

The clear lotion isn't exactly very watery. It's kinda like a thick-watery-gel to increase it's effectiveness. Hard to explain the unique texture! The lotion is made using a Shiseido technology, the Micro-Moisture Manufacturing process, which shrinks ingredients into micro-sized particles.

The Hoshitsu range focuses on providing moisture and contains Double Hyaluronic Acid with Royal Jelly GL. They're fragrance free without artificial colours and promise 24-hour hydration.

My skin is already better since I used the Shiseido Aqualabel Special Gel Cream so there isn't a very drastic change in photos this time. You can see the lines lessen with the lotion though. It also aids absorption of other skincare properties so it actually makes your other skincare more effective!

* Take note that this is before moisturizer

The best part about this lotion is that there isn't any sticky/oily residue! It keeps my skin soft & bouncy all day long~

You can apply the lotion using your hands or a cotton pad. I prefer my hands because I can feel how smooth my skin becomes and it's relaxing.

TIP : Shiseido products can be used as masks as well! Simply soak cotton pads in the lotion and place on the regions on your face where you need extra moisture.

There's also the Senka Whitening Range! It restricts melanin production while preventing spots and freckles.
