Silkygirl Ice Cream Lip Pot SPF 15

Isn't this just adorable? I received this together with the BB 2-WayPowder + Foundation, Eye Love Handbag and Big Eye Collagen Waterproof Mascara. Personally, I LOVE ice cream and this lip balm promises 6 hours of moisture. Also contains Vitamin E & SPF 15 to protect your lips.

Product says

The moment I opened the packaging, I was hit by a wave of sweet smelling berries. Continued to sniff it for 5 seconds =x It comes in a small lil tub with a screw on lid.

Omggg! Seriously?! Why do people make these cute stuff then force us to ruin it? =/

The top was kinda hard but as I continued to use the product, it turns more creamy and gives a slightly creamy white colour.

I was having a 'really bad lip day', with hard and dry flakes. I applied the Ice Cream Lip Pot in the picture on the right. The hard flakes immediately softened and were later removed ^_^ My lips felt so much better later that day even though all the lip balm has probably disappeared.

There are also 2 other variants available: Strawberry Vanilla and Chocolate Vanilla! It's a limited edition product btw.

Size : 10 g
Made in Taiwan

L'oreal Renewal Lash Serum from OnlyBeauty

When this product came out, I was pretty curious about it (had this phobia of my lashes becoming bald). Thanks to OnlyBeauty, I got to try it! Actually I signed up for OnlyBeauty years ago and went crazy over it cos it's the best sampling website in Malaysia! You can get free beauty product samples here from various brands and all at no cost. You can check out their website or Facebook page for updates on freebies and product reviews.

Love the curves! xD It's really small so I bring it along with me in my bag (so I don't forget).

Product says :

The applicator is a special one. It's curved with a thinner tip for perfect application.

How to apply it? First, use the tip and apply the product on the roots as if you're applying eyeliner. Then, use the curve to sweep your lashes from root to tip like applying mascara.

The serum feels cool and refreshing upon application. It's not very watery but is very easy to spread. Dries to almost nothing. I sometimes use this as an invisible boost for my lashes. After application, I push my lashes into a curve until it dries and my eyes look more awake.

Now.. On to the results!

After using this product for almost 2 weeks, I noticed my lashes were slightly longer and each lash was thicker! Also, they appeared to be stronger and straighter, looking healthier. Lash fall was also reduced and I definitely felt the difference as I didn't get poked in the eye with my own lashes as often.

I've also managed to clear some doubts about this product.

They say : This product burns your eyes!
My comment : While trying to take a photo, I literally poked my eye with the wand (do not try this lol) and guess what? Nothing happened at all! I apply this all the way to the base of my lashes and it doesn't irritate my eyes.

They say : Product makes my mascara weird.
My comment : Tried and mascara goes on like normal. Just make sure you want til it dries.

They say : Product leaves very sticky and gooey residue.
My comment : If you apply it properly as recommended, you will have an appropriate amount on your lashes which dries into almost nothing.

They say : Product makes my lashes drop like mad!
My comment : From my experience, yes, my lashes do drop off when I wash my face. However, I don't think this means the serum makes my lashes drop. You see, when you apply the serum, it sticks your lashes together. Your lashes will fall off naturally but are still stuck there cos of the serum. So when you wash your face, they are 'released' and drop off.

K-Palette Lasting 2Way Eyebrow (02 Honey Brown)

I had already reviewed this in 01 Chocolate Brown earlier but I managed to get my hands on the 02 Honey Brown as well! Thank you for the good luck!

I'm taking photos from the other review cos I don't have the packaging for this.

The pen has 2 sides; 1 liquid and the other powder. You can use them separately or combine them according to your preference.

Liquid side comes with a brush tip that's sturdy but soft. Extremely easy to control. The other end consists of a sponge tip with the powder stored inside the cap.

Chocolate Brown is darker with a reddish tone.

While Honey Brown is very much towards yellow tone and is lighter. Although the powder side for Chocolate Brown can be used as eyeshadow, the powder in Honey Brown is way too yellow for that (I have it on my lids here so you can see). Both contain tiny gold specks.

With Chocolate Brown, I apply the liquid on the tail and powder on the front to keep it natural. However, since Honey Brown is so light, I can use both on my whole eyebrow. The colour is alright but I feel that it is too light for me. Perhaps for people with lighter hair? Would love if there is a shade in between!

Overall, this product is not bad. It's long lasting and easy to use (pencil is still easier for beginners though).

Price : RM 59.90

A Grandpa Poses Better Than You

I like online window shopping and sometimes hop to random blogshops. One thing that really puts me off is seeing 'models' that are so kayu (stiff), trying too hard or just don't look good.

I remember one where the girl bent her body in really weird angles (like trying to touch your toes mid air while standing or if it's REALLY windy and you're a leaf). Hilarious.. Or that one where she looks the same in every single photo. Even a grandpa poses better than you, alright!

No, seriously.

This story made it into several newspapers!

Liu Xianpig is a 72 year old grandfather and he became famous because he dressed up in female clothes and posed for his granddaughter's online shop, Yuekou.

Here are some of my favourite shots!

Her grandpa is so awesome! Girls are going gaga about his slim legs and he poses ridiculously well!

Lancome In Love for Spring 2013

I've fallen for Lancome's design ever since I saw their Fall 2011 collection blusher.

Lancome has caught the essence of Spring and infused it into their Spring 2013 collection, In Love. And not just any Spring but specifically Spring in the City. It combines the neon and pop shades of the city with the vibrant colours of nature.

The In Love collection is dressed in beautiful florals inspired by the French motif, toile de Jouy. It has however, been given a twist! Spot the makeup products carefully integrated into the design!

Baume In Love - RM 75
Pop Kisses

These pretty balms are infused with Shea Butter and are available in 4 translucent shades to give a bitten-lip effect and moisture for perfect kissable lips.

Blush In Love - RM 110
Springtime Glow

As usual, even the blusher itself is so beautiful! Plus the mirror can be removed to be kept separately (so you can check your makeup discreetly). Pêche Joue-Joue gives fair complexions a warm touch while Pommettes d'Amour offers a mix of fuchsia and orange for a healthy glow.

Dewy Mist - RM 75
Splash of freshness

It is important to look fresh all the time. Spritz some of this essential oil infused Dewy Mist before or after makeup to soften, smooth and illuminate skin for a radiant complexion all day long. Step into a world of beautiful Spring flowers with every spritz and enjoy the fragrance that accompanies this mist.

Ombre In Love - RM 70
Colour block eyes

As you open these beautiful pink cases, you will be greeted by six shimmering springtime shades; 3 pastels for the fair and 3 pop shades that will compliment darker complexions. Each eyeshadow offers softness, finesse, long-wear and a vibrant colour.

Khôl In Love - RM 70
Electro-chic intensity

Perfect to compliment the Ombres In Love are three creamy, pigment-rich eye pencils available in turquoise, deep blue and light chocolate. Beautiful colours to open your eyes and and to make the wearer stand out among the beautiful Spring flowers.

UV Expert BB Cream SPF 50 PA+++ - RM 175

Lastly, this beauty is Lancome's BB Cream which promises a lightweight formula which hides imperfection while providing a luminous glow. Also provides SPF 50 PA+++ UV protection from the sun.

So pretty, aren't they??

Tuition is NOT a Kiasu Thing

When I was in Form 4, I skipped many classes and was missing out on a lot. I get single digit marks for Additional Mathematics if it's not a big fat zero. Suddenly, one day I decided to go for class and the teacher asked me "Who are you? You are not in my class, are you?" YES! That's how often I skip classes. Obviously, my grades plummeted and something had to be done. Before the next year started, I got a home tutor and attempted to squeeze 2 years of Additional Maths & Chemistry into one year =/

In the end, I got A for both subjects in SPM! So yes, the tuition really helped me but not all are good. I signed up for a class previously and found it useless cos the teacher is very fast and her lessons are not specially designed for each student according to their pace & level. Also, in a class of 20, I only get 5% of her attention. Honestly, private tutors are the best but I only found mine because she's a friend of my sister.

That's where websites like THIS come in.

If you enable the website to access your location, you can even choose to view only tutors within 10/25/50/100 km from you! So canggih already..

You know how you're afraid of buying phones online in case you receive just a box of rocks? It's the same with tutors! So here, they have a 'ranking system' to let you evaluate the tutors.

Now let's reverse the scenario. If you are a tutor giving tuition, it's not ideal for you to be standing outside schools giving out leaflets, okay. There's a whole pool of jobs here waiting for you.

If you think you need tuition, go for it! It is not a sign of 'kiasu' and could actually help you!

Refilling my Empro Triangular Brow Pencil

So my beloved Empro Triangular Brown Pencil finally finished after more than a year. It's the first product that convinced me that I CAN draw my own brows.

Thankfully, I got the value pack which comes with a refill.

It is amazingly easy to refill your pencil! Pull the lead out, replace it with the new one and push it in until you hear a loud click. The lead will be held securely if you hear a click.

Twist the lead up to make sure it's working well and you're done! You're reusing the pen so remember to wash the brush side once in a while too!

It's no puzzle as to why I've been using this regularly until I finished it. I started using it since before I even knew how to draw my eyebrows. All those swatches on the left came from the same pencil. You can easily go from a light brush of colour to full on brown. The triangular/teardrop shape also makes it a breeze to fill in my brows. Love!
