Essential Nuance Airy Intensive Hair Mask

Thanks to lovely Cynthia & Nicole, I got my hands on Essential products! My hair has been dreaming about that awesome stuff!

I got the shampoo, conditioner, hair mask and serum but I tried the hair mask first as I still have unfinished old products.

Product says :
3x more High Purity Honey & Shea Butter
Intensive care for severely damaged hair, especially the last 15cm
Gives limp and flat hair a light & bouncy feel
  • Cares even for the last 15cm, which is most prone to dryness, tangles and split ends caused by chemical treatments and styling.
  • 3x more High Purity Honey to protect and strengthen.
  • 3x more Shea Butter to repair and moisturize.
  • Wild Rose Essence keeps hair soft and moisturized.
  • Hair becomes easy to manage and style.
Cute pink jar with a wavy top! And it's shimmery too.. It's easy to open but like all products in tubs, it gets under my nails.

I was quite surprised at how solid this hair mask is. It reminds me of slightly melted butter. Compared to my previous hair masks, I use a smaller amount of this as it's so buttery smooth and concentrated (I usually use less than the amount shown). Smells really good too ^_^

It's very easy to spread and didn't feel very oily/greasy like my previous hair masks.

I guess it's  recommended to wrap your hair in a shower cap but I just sorta bun/simple gather then clip. I leave it on for 5-10 minutes while I do other stuff in the shower (totally reminded myself about 'poop in shower guy' ewww..).

OMG!~~ I felt the difference immediately after the first usage. Hair was so much softer~~~ And it was super shiny. It will take a while to repair my hair but I'm convinced it will help! It's already less fluffy now. I think I used too much though (too used to my previous hair masks) so it sorta weighed down my hair.

Pics to prove it! This is how my hair used to look like. Hair was dry, stiff and harsh feeling. It was bordering on 'horse mane'. *I used loads of hair serum in the photos below*

After a few weeks of using my old shampoo & conditioner + new Essential hair mask, my hair now looks like this! Soooooo much softer now! Hair is more manageable, less dry and shiny.

This is my hair without any serum. It still looks better than my old hair with serum =_="

Even on a fluffy hair day, my hair's still somehow manageable.

Essential! Y U NO come to Malaysia?!?! Like seriously.. I don't want to have to keep bugging Singaporean friends to help me.

My Beauty Diary Cooling Mask

I think this mask is one of the unique ones as it's purpose is for soothing & cooling. The name is 'Cooling Mask' after all.. Malaysia has summer all year long but gosh, some days, the weather is just so ridiculously hot that you can sweat while in an air conditioned shopping mall!

Popped this in the fridge for an extra cooling sensation.

As usual, it's a really good fit and the thin pulp sheet feels great on skin. It smelt and felt minty! There was like a tingling sensation on my face. It was kinda like putting on a Mentos mask xD

This minty cool mask would feel really nice on a hot day and putting it into the fridge before using would make it even better. Even though it doesn't promise hydrating effects, it delivered. This is probably due to the sheet itself cos most from this new version are quite hydrating.

Ingredients : Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Sambacus Nigra Flower Extract, Laminara Digitata Extract, Gingko Biloba Leaf Extract, Soluble Collagen, Hydrolyzed Yeast Protein, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Leaf Extract, Citric Acid, Polysorbate 20, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Aesculus Hippocasnatum (Horse Chestnut) Seed Extract, Styrene/Acrylates Copolymer, Dimethylsilanol Hyaluronate, Methylparaben, Phenoxyethanol, Laminara Ochroleuca Extract, Arnica Montana Flower Extract, Lechitin, Carbomer, Xanthan Gum, Triethanolamine, Sodium Hydroxide, Fragrance, Alcohol, Methyl Lactate, Menthol

Size : 30 g / 23 ml
Price : RM 63.88 for a box of 17
Bought from : Pharmacy
Made in Taiwan

Pros : Good fit, comfortable, thin sheet, unique, cooling, hydrating
Cons : -

My conclusion : I this this is worth purchasing because it really works to cool skin down! Plus it's hydrating too. Both effects can really help you relax, especially on a hot day.

TS001 Falsies

These are also from the night market, like the previous ones. I guess you could find similar ones online.

Today's eyeliner is slightly different. It's Solone eyeliner in Black topped with some blue eyeshadow & yellow near the tear ducts. The pop of blue was quite a nice change from usual black ^_^

I wouldn't say it's very natural but it's definitely in the natural category for me. The backbone is black and thick, making it stiff and less comfortable. I find that the cheap ones are always like that.

If I'm not mistaken, I also did that blusher-higher-than-usual thingy and I think it actually looks better.. I did do some PS work on my panda eyes though =/

Black toga dress with ribbon on shoulder from Sungei Wang, RM 25. Belt was custom made (just the length) from a blogshop some time ago when studded belts were all the rage. Originally, there was a weird looking strap on the other side but I removed it cos it was too hideous.

Went to get some stuff in Mid Valley. Hopefully I'll get around to reviewing them soon! ^_^

Traveling in Manila?

I rarely travel but I do know that a big portion of the expenses is because of the flight ticket & accommodation. You can purchase tickets earlier to get a lower price (better during travel fairs!) but what about a place to stay? I'm sure after a long day outside you just wanna go back to a soft bed and recharge for a full day tomorrow.

This is iBilik Manila, which shows a collection of many rooms located in various locations. There are rooms for rent (monthly) & short term rentals (good for vacations). The full details are listed there including rent, description, things included like air cond/internet, available dates and more. Some even have photos which I think is awesome cos I can't be there physically to look at the room so photos are great.

I spotted this nice condo there.

You can even use the pool, gym and sauna.

But who needs that when you have the beautiful ocean right there?

I see someone staying there tonight! You can refer to the calender at the bottom of the page to check availability of rooms.

I would consider this a comfy vacation to relax and unwind. If you are on a tight budget or you're staying for a few months, you can consider other rooms or a bedspace (with all of them listed there, it's so convenient and easy to compare prices). There are placess with TV & very near to several public transportation for PhP 1500 per month only.

La Victoria Residences offers studio rooms for as low as PhP 2500 per person! Equipped with wifi internet, cable TV, drinking water (Hot/Cold), local landline calls, bed/s, built-in cabinets, air conditioning, private CR, desk/table, personal ref & LCD TV, I think it's quite affordable.

Just spotted this. The site will list 'Other similar rooms' under the page! I think it recommends rooms based on the price & location, perhaps?

Valentine's @ Vary Pasta

Okay so I know everyone's posting about their Valentine's night but mine is more of like a food review + a rant about an annoying woman! #&@#$&! At first I referred to her as a 'lady' on FB but I realize now that lady is not how you describe a cow.

Moving on..

Initial choice of photo together but rejected cos it's a 'big head photo'.
"but you look stunning in it though", he said.

I look stunning here too.

 =x

My usual makeup.. Nothing special. Tried applying blusher higher than usual (apparently it gives you a dolly look & helps hide undereye circles) but you can't see it here. Will reattempt with better lighting. Dress from Sungei Wang, RM 25. Le bf chose it cos he thought it was sexy. I do like the black bead detailing on neckline & sleeves but it's rather short.

Sakai : Can I have a treat now? And a scratch on my tummy?

Yes, yes you can!

I conclude.. This is my fav pose if someone points a camera at me before I start eating.

Forgot to check the prices but le Bf thinks it's RM 8.50. Moderate.. I prefer minestrone soup at Pastamania, Sungei Wang (food sucks though) or the soup at Capricciosa.

Le Bf & bread.

Le Bf & bread 2 =/

Ordered from their Special Menu. This should be about RM 35. There's like this special potato pancake at the bottom that is just so good!! It's slightly burnt to give this sorta burnt butter on toast feel. I was like 'there is no potato nicer than this'. One thing I really liked was how the chef took time to cook the vegetables well until they're soft unlike many restaurants (including Chilli's) that serve cold, hard veges that are inedible.

Bf said it's pork stuffed with pork. I dunno.. Wasn't impressed.

This is.. just wow.. Really good. You. Have. To. Order. This.
(I was wrong about the 'there is no potato better than this'. THIS is the best!)

Extra gravyyy~~

Half eaten whipped potato looks kinda gross but I wanted to show you how it looks like. I feel it's quite different from others. It's more compact and milky plus the gravy is just awesome.

This is.. my order that arrived an hour after we ordered cos they left it out and assumed I was full with a few spoonfuls of whipped potato.

Anyway, fish was super FISHY but the sauce was good so it helped. The fish was at an awkward angle so I started digging underneath and found... potato. And this potato was even better than the 2 mentioned earlier. There was a cheesy taste, mixed with the sauce and some herbs. Gosh.. Do they have a potato platter or something? xD

And this.. Is where the rant begins.

So we're sitting on the outer room of Vary Pasta where there are 3 tables, including ours. This couple sat next to the door and the woman was talking loudly the entire meal, complaining about this and that. The bf was just being super nice while she continued  to bash him up. I only heard bits and pieces of their conversation. Wasn't trying to eavesdrop but it's hard not to when she's shouting like a barbarian.

Woman : Yeah so we'll just wait 2 hours for our food right?? Huh.. So nice...
(please...everyone here is waiting but nobody is making a scene like you)

Woman : Do you know what's Whatsapp?
Man : I know what's up lah..
Woman : Dunno Whatsapp, for what you get a Galaxy Note? So stupid. Anyway he tried to 'tam' me back with a Note but I said no cos I am ANTI-SAMSUNG.

Woman : We just started out, so it's like this wan la (try saying it in Cantonese with a cocky voice : ngo di ngam ngam hoi chi, hai gam ge lah!)
I don't think she's gonna get any better with time. Dude, run while you can!

*waiter serves tiramisu cake and bf starts to cut a piece for her*
Woman : Did I ask you to serve that?!? *are you stupid face*

After that she started complaining about the cake and made the waiter exchange it.

Then she was complaining about another woman.
Woman : So what if she's pretty? I don't have outer beauty but at least I have inner beauty. I'm beautiful inside!

Overall, dinner was alright.. Complete with 'entertainment'. Even complimented her wonderful performance by giving her a stare as we walked out. Wonder if it was one of those Disaster Dates on MTV.

Anyway, do drop by Vary Pasta and taste their wonderful potato for yourself. Their mushroom soup is good too.
