Restoran New Paris @ SS2

Just done with dinner at New Paris Restaurant in SS2, opposite Mungo Jerry. Didn't manage to take too many pics cos my family dived into the dishes =_=

Champagne chicken. Really yummy!

I like the watermelon balls as well ^_^

Sambal fish, I think? So far, we've had 2 fishes here and both were fresh. This wasn't too spicy.

Soft shell crab. Wasn't too good. The one at Umai-ya tasted better.

This is special cos there's cheese in it! xD Yum.. There's also abalone inside.

We also had other stuff like pig leg (ewww..), yam basket thingy (order this! It's good), vege, omelette and some others I can't remember. I would recommend the yam basket & champagne chicken ^_^

There's currently three floors and they're usually all filled. The place is air conditioned so no worries. Food is served amazingly fast despite the number of people ordering. Service is good and it's clean. Parking can be a problem though but they've 'reserved' some spots for customers using plastic chairs. Dishes come in 3 sizes, which is awesome so you can choose to have more of your favourite dishes and less of your not-so-favourite ones. Also good if you are a small group but want to try a lot of things.

Watson's Moisturising Facial Mask With Aloe Vera Extract

Nicole is crazy about putting aloe vera on her face cos it's moisturizing but I'm a little uneasy about the idea cos aloe vera supposedly helps with hair growth. What if my facial hair starts growing longer?!

What the... Source

I'll rather be safe. So I just opted for a mask..
Phew.. The moment I tore the packet I smelt perfume. This mask is unfortunately heavily perfumed. It doesn't smell fresh like the Cucumber mask =( A lil choking for me.

It's a good fit but not as comfortable as the Guardian masks cos it's thicker. Reusing old pic since it's the same anyway >_>

The sheet wasn't thoroughly soaked in the essence but it was sufficient for 15 minutes. There was enough essence for a reuse but I beh tahan the scent so just threw it away.

After removing the mask, my skin was hydrated again. Dry flaky skin was replaced with soft smooth skin. No other effect though. Didn't even brighten although it's for whitening.

Size : 30 ml
Price : RM 8 for 2
Bought from : Watson's
Made in Korea

Pros : Hydrating, good fit
Cons : Heavy perfume, thick sheet

My conclusion : Will NOT repurchase this. Yuck! The perfume is a major turn off. Rather buy the cucumber one (already did, actually =/).

This Week

Okay, not even this week but I've been procrastinating =_= Giveaway prize from YSK Review, received almost 2 months later. Maxilip lip balm & some Oslee samples in an Oslee reusable bag. Wonder if the Oslee stuff are good.

Korean hair wax from Stars Hair Salon, RM 50. This is a cool one xD You spread it on your hands and when you clap your hands, fine white strands float in the air and they look like spider web.

Night market haul again lol~ I got a bunch of hair clips, hairbands and scrunchies for my 'new hair'. I'm having this thing for ribbons at the moment. The scrunchies are so adorable. Thank god I didn't buy them at Daiso. They were half the price here!

This lip balm is meant for overnight usage so I'm quite curious about it. It smells good too ^_^ Yes yes.. I opened it to take a sniff.

More nail polishes =_= These are fake OPIs and are really mini in size. RM 2 each. There's silver, dark gray + blue glitter & sheer gold.

Haul from DKSH warehouse sale on Sat. Haiyo! Avoid this if you're not aggressive enough. So many aunties shoving and pushing and elbowing.

Please keep your sweaty flabby arm out of my face!

Pity the old women who got pushed behind. Had to read price list for them sumore lol

TRESemme hair goodies! RM 5 each only OMG

Clinelle freebies!~ So nice. No purchase needed and they come in a plastic pouch (great for traveling!).

Clinelle Travel Kit RM 6.

Muahahaha... =x Caring Milk Cleanser RM 9, Eye & Lip Make-Up Remover RM 5, SnoWhite Mask RM 9 (dam aunty was cheong-ing this with me and she took the whole box. Lucky I managed to grab one tube but I had to endure her sweaty arm rubbing against mine. Ewww...), LMS Cream RM 6 (I so wanted this during the Clinelle contest but it was a LIKE contest so obviously I lost), Blemish Conceal & Clear Stick FOC (dunno if mine is defected or it's just sample cos it can't be turned up) & Lip Solution RM 6.

Ellgy Cracked Heel Cream, 2 for RM 18.

A dozen Logic Big Eyes lenses from Malaya Optical. Only 4 are mine though lol

Soap samples from BubblezShoppe. I gotta admit, the African Black Soap looks like fruit cake lol

Bleh. I think the only things that 'happened' the past 2 weeks were just hauls =_= So broke now.. lol

OPI Nail Envy Review

I hate it when I break a nail... =_= I've been very careful ever since I broke like 13487237 nails opening car doors / canned drinks / seat belts / bottles / plastic caps (seals?) / boxes. I let my guard down for one split second while opening a cab door and this happens. That familiar pain shot through my finger and I just knew.. Didn't even wanna look at it =_= Urgh!

I especially hate this kind that tears your nail off your nail bed. My nails are getting shorter and shorter =( Nnoooo~~~~

Fear not! OPI Nail Envy to the rescue!!

This little bottle of golden elixir will make everyone envious of your long nails. It's a nail strengthener that makes your nails harder and stronger so they don't break so easily. There are many products like this but not all of them work. Okay, my nails weren't so soft to begin with but after applying this, they're so much harder! I used to break my nails a few times per month but now that has been reduced to once every 1-3 months! ^_^

I love that the brush is flat, which makes application easy. It's super smooth, dries fast and leaves your nails shiny. I'm so glad my aunt bought this for us. If she didn't, I would have gone through my life not knowing about this treasure! =(

Size : 15 ml
Made in USA

Pros : Works to harden & strengthen nails, flat brush, smooth application, dries fast, shiny
Cons : -

My conclusion : Absolutely love this! Must have if you have soft nails and wish to let them grow long.

Buffet Lunch @ Umai-Ya

Every weekend, Umai-Ya has buffet lunches & dinners. Finally got to try it cos Nicole wanted to eat sushi when we went to Malaya Optical yesterday (now she's regretting cos didn't eat Village Park lol).

This is not a 'take all you can from the buffet table' buffet. You're given a paper where you select your choices of food and they will serve it to you so it's fresh. So what did we do while waiting? Camwhore, of course =_=

I didn't take pics of everything cos too busy stuffing my mouth with yummy food but here's part of it.

Sashimi! And that red fish roe sushi thingy. Sashimi here is still as fresh as during my previous visits. Love!

Some fried tofu thingy. Was abit sickening =_=

Nicole's Dragon Maki.

Unagi tempura. Nicole's but I stole one piece and it's so yummeh! Warning : Do not order FOUR plates of this unless you have a really big stomach or four like a cow.

Soft shell crab tempura. This was nice also! Not as oily as the unagi one and the flesh is so sweet.

More salmon & fish roe thingy. I tell you.. The fish roe here is special!

Look! It's so clear and sparkly and prettyyy... I feel like I'm eating Nemo.

Cos we were so absolutely stuffed and couldn't eat anymore, we decided to order green tea ice cream.

Buffet is RM 48++ per person. Lunch is from 11.30 am to 2.30 pm. Don't waste food! For every 500 g you waste, you gotta pay an additional RM 5. This is really good cos people tend to waste food during buffets. It's advisable to make a reservation as there can be a lot of people.

After Malay Optical, we headed back to my house in SS2 and stopped by Dessert Go Go / Hong Kong Dessert =_= Can't believe we could still eat and are such pigs.

Black sesame tong sui with sweet rice ball, RM 7.

Shiny... Can even see my camera's reflection! How cool is that? xD

Nicole's mung bean + sweet rice ball tong sui, RM 6.50.

That's all for now.. =)

After some Googling, I found out that there's actually more! ^_^ I remember seeing Vico, honey, pet shampoo etc, chocolates (Kinder Bueno & Fererro), sanitary pads, hair wax, mousse (Tresemme), shampoo, conditioner, baby stuff, Tupperware, Morgan, Babyliss hair stuff, M&Ms, Elgy, hand wash, body wash and body powder. Can't recall the other stuff. It's super packed though. I would suggest parking in Jaya One and walking there as it's really near.

Earth Hour

As most of you would know, it was Earth Hour just now (in Malaysia, anyway). Did you turn off your lights?? I did. Except important ones like the porch light and the one for the stairs. The TV was off, no radio and only one fan.

I also turned off the computer & modem.

*gasp!* =O you what?!?!

Yes, I did.. My modem is rarely off but it was for an hour lol

Good for you!

Anyway, I read some pretty discouraging comments about Earth Hour and thought I'll comment on them.

I don't think Earth Hour is actually to save electricity for that one hour. It's more of having everyone show their support and love for the environment together. It also creates awareness among the people.

I support Earth Hour (or at least try to anyway) and I care about the environment but the environment doesn't come before my life. So stop with all the "If you care so much about the environment, why don't you stop eating meat / don't use electricity forever / go naked / don't use papers / stop blogging?". At least I'm reducing the damage done and I'm putting in a tiny bit of effort. What have YOU done?!

=_=

Okay, with that out of the way.. I would like to tackle the common question "What am I going to do without the computer/lights/TV/radio/internet?". Well, I put on a mask, lie down and relax. With the electrical appliances off, it's amazingly quiet and calm. Guess what? I heard my clock tick! I never knew it ticked O_O I guess it was drowned in the sounds coming out of the TV, radio, phone & computer all this while. Try it. You'll be surprised.

What did you do during Earth Hour?

Cyleina Kojic Acid Soap

I got my first Cyleina soap on June 8th last year. I remember the first one I dived into was the Cyleina Kojic soap cos I was very into whitening back then. But now I don't really care anymore. However, I wouldn't mind my face being a lil fairer / my body getting darker so they actually match =_=

Thinking back, I can't believe I've been using soaps from Alice (BubblezShoppe) for nearly a year! Being the curious me, I usually don't stick to things for long. But I have found myself liking her organic soaps a lot. I still have a big bag of them and absolutely cannot wait to try the next one ^_^

Idiotic moment : I even gave a Cyleina Strawberry soap to my friend as a parting gift. Very stupid. She was going to Australia, where they don't allow any sort of fruit/plant with seeds etc. And why would she bring SOAP to another country? You can just buy them there *smacks self*

Anyway... On to the review. Picture from Alice.

This soap lathers okay but I wouldn't say it was as creamy as the others. Initially it smelt citrusy (yum!) but it has lost the scent now. Doesn't smell bad though.

Cos of the flat and squarish shape, I would recommend cutting them into fours so it's easier to hold. Half is fine too but it's gonna be hard to use it when its flat and long lol

I keep my soaps in an open container (KFC mashed potatoes ones are good). They dry fast and don't turn soft & mushy. If you intend to cover your soaps, make sure you leave it open long enough to dry before covering it or else it will just 'melt' with the water.

So Kojic Acid is supposed to help with skin whitening. I don't actually believe in whitening products. Yes, you can return your skin to it's natural colour if you have a tan but you're not going any fairer than that. I believe products like this only speed up the process of getting your original colour back.

I would say this soap worked. I had some super dark spots on my knees, elbows and feet (scrubbed against covered school shoes). After using it for a while, they were less obvious and now it's so much better! I only use this on my body so it's fairer than my face =_= But don't know if that's the exact cause.

The reason I don't use this on my face? It's drying =( My face will dry up and flake after prolonged usage. My body feels kinda dry too but it's not as important as my face! Lol It containing exfoliating ingredients doesn't help either.

Product says : Kojic acid and green papaya extracts whiten and exfoliate rough and dry skin. A refreshing astringent with softening action that reduces fine lines and evenly tones skin.
Size : 120 g
Price : RM 20 (Wait for promotions! They're always on)
Bought from : BubblezShoppe
Made in Phillipines

Pros : Whitening, smells good, doesn't turn mushy with water
Cons : Drying

My conclusion : If you want to quickly un-tan your skin, I guess this is a good try ^_^ Can't guarantee positive results though! Avoid if your skin is very dry and I wouldn't recommend this for your face.

Wet n Wild Coloricon Blushers

Let me present to you.. My babies xD Took me more than a week to convince myself that it's perfectly okay to dip my brush inside and ruin the design.

Close up without the plastic cover. Sorry for the shadows. These were hard to capture! Too much light and you couldn't see it =_= Pearlescent Pink is so so so so pretty! It's shimmery and I love it! Mellow Wine on the other hand is a matte blusher.

Swatches on my arm. The shimmer in PP isn't too overwhelming and it provides just enough to add a glow to your cheeks. Love! Take note that these are extremely pigmented! I only need a light dab on the pan for each cheek.

Swatch from another camera. I think the colour is more true here. As you can see, PP is a lighter peachy pink while MW is deeper. Both can give a natural flush if used with a light hand.

Each blusher comes with their own brush but they don't look that good.. Such a dense one wouldn't be advisable either as the blusher is so pigmented. Wouldn't want clown cheeks!

Pearlescent Pink looked familiar so I compared it with my other blushers and it is quite similar to Elf Studio Blush (Candid Coral), Elf Blush & Bronzing Powder and Milani Luminous. The swatches proved me wrong though. Sorry it's blur =_= As you can see.. They're different shades! You probably can't see much difference on the cheeks though lol Just making myself feel better =x

At first I liked Pearlescent Pink but now I'm loving Mellow Wine.

Ingredients :  Talc, Nylon-12, Boron Nitride, Zinc Stearate, Aluminium Starch Octenylsuccinate, Mineral Oil, Octydodecyl Stearoyl Stearate, Osostearyl Palmitate, Kaolin, Silica, Luroyl Lysine, Phenoxyethanol, Lanolin Alcohol, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Butylpareben, Ethylparaben, Isobutylparaben.
Size : 0.14 oz / 4 g
Price : RM 8.10 each
Bought from : Lowyat.NET sprees (Walgreen 50% off)
Made in China

Pros : Pigmented, cheap, long lasting
Cons : Not locally available, bad brush

My conclusion : This blusher is smooth and pigmented. If only they had more colours! ^_^ Definitely worth purchasing =)

Sucker Punch

Thanks to Nuffnang, I got to watch Sucker Punch in advance yesterday! ^_^ Wasn't in a good mood cos of a few things though.

ONE : 1 Utama was quite full for a Tuesday. It was hard to find parking and we haven't had dinner T_T Really stupid cos I finally decided to go to the 5th floor and found out.. IT WAS EMPTY! @$@#% Was already 8.20~ when I reached GSC (collection starts at 8). So we sat third row from the front =(

TWO : Couldn't find Nuffnang redemption counter cos it was blocked by the Hot Magazine one =_=" Can't you put bigger signs or something??! My eyesight is not 20/20 and I certainly can't see through a whole line of people.

THREE : Rushed for dinner at Dave's (again). I ordered Spaghetti with Bacon, Meatballs & Mushrooms in EVOO. OMG... This was heavenly! Definitely wanna eat this again. Tastes so dam good! Much better than the previous seafood pasta. Bf ordered seafood fettuccine with extra seafood. When the 1st plate arrived, I felt odd but couldn't quite tell why. My bf claimed the plate to be his but soon realized that there were meatballs AND seafood inside LOL! According to the waitress, the computer messed up the order =_= The extra seafood was added to my plate. Both waitress and manager quickly apologized (very good customer service there) but we just said it's okay. No biggie anyway. Just throw the seafood over to his plate. In the end, the manager gave us FREE extra seafood.

FOUR : Reached GSC at 9+ but the movie hasn't started (phew..). Our seats were H11 & H12 but somehow, the whole H row was full =_= WTH?! Confirmed with someone that we are indeed in the CORRECT cinema. I just went through the row of people and asked the two guys sitting in our seats "are you in the wrong seat?" which they immediately responded to with a "oh sorry wrong seat" without even checking their tickets, which means they knew! Then they just moved to the end and sat there =_= People like this.. should just fall down the stairs and stay in the hospital.

Thankfully, the movie was okay. It's like Inception man..

It's jam packed with hot girls fighting in sexy clothes. What more do you want? Lol There's unrealistic & exaggerated fight scenes, kinda like in a computer game. But it's their imagination anyway.. CGI was awesome. Each 'fight' has it's own loud music (nice!) and fantasy scene. It just amazes me how those girls remain so hot and without a scratch lol And they're wearing heavy blusher + dark rimmed eyes + falsies the entire time. Makeup was quite pretty too ^_^ Love all the glittery eyes and their outfits!
Spoilers! In case you are blur and didn't understand the movie lol Highlight to read.

- She pulled the trigger and shot her sister (why did the bulb burst, then?)
- Inception style, the institute is the 1st level, brothel 2nd level & fighting/war 3rd level lol Basically, she and the other girls made up the whole brothel thing as a way of coping (like what Madam Gorski said). Then again made up the whole war/fighting scenes.
- Remember the part about the Angel being in any form? Bf said the old man was an angel. That's why he helped Sweet Pea in the bus.
- Kinda bummed cos never actually saw what was Babydoll's dance
- I was shocked with the ending. Thought it would be another happy ending where everyone gets out alive. All of a sudden, three are dead =/

I guess this is worth watching in the cinema ^_^ Unless you have good surround sound system at home haha.. And your neighbours don't mind the loud music =/

Sucker Punch comes out tomorrow so don't forget to reserve/purchase your tickets in advance if you don't wanna be disappointed.
