Do You Go Out With Wet Hair?

A random thought for today.. Do you go out with your hair wet? It is a taboo to you?

Sometimes my Bf calls me out at night and I don't have time to dry my hair. I usually let it air dry cos as you know.. heat from the hair dryer is damaging. But this process could take hours.. I don't really care if my hair is wet but people seem to stare at me as though I'm wearing a towel and shower cap o_O

Just to clarify, I do towel dry it first. It's dry enough so that it doesn't make my top wet.

Also, going out with wet hair seems to leave it in a mess. It gets tangled, fluffy and frizzy. What's causing this?! Air cond in my car? Pfft.. This doesn't happen when I'm at home.

Just like my first time going to a club, Nicole also brought me to my first karaoke session at Red Box for her 24th birthday this week.

The birthday girl and I. I'm using Physician's Formula concealer, Elf HD Powder, Solone Waterproof Eyeliner, Maybelline Magnum mascara, Milani Minerals Blush (Luminous) and NYX Round Lip Gloss (Peach).

Complimentary sparkling juice for her birthday.

How was your first karaoke session like?

I watched 2 movies this week. First was The Rite with my Bf. He tricked me, saying it was a murder movie =_= I don't like watching movies about possession cos it just creeps me out then at night I'll have my eyes wide open, staring at every dark corner in my room Zzz.. Thanks..

Well, the lead actor (Colin O'Donoghue) is kinda cute xD And there's Anthony Hopkins in it! If you don't know who's that, maybe this poster will refresh your memory.. Why must he always look so creepy? =_=

I would say it's scary, has slight hint of romance and a lil disgusting (the human body does not twist like that!). Worth watching but probably not in the cinema.. Nothing much I can say about it. It's a typical movie about possession. Not too exciting.

- I expected more with the frogs in his room. And with the window open, you would at least expect to see 'something' in a mirror or a sign that something is/was in the room.

- What's with the Devil (red eyed donkey/horse) he saw outside the hotel? So he decides to make an appearance just to stare at him then disappear? =_=

I was so excited to watch this cos the trailer looked good but it was just 'meh'. It was kinda draggy. My friend nearly fell asleep (according to him lol).

- Victoria is the best climber among them and has climbed Mount Everest yet is so weak? How stupid can she be to refuse to wear a wetsuit and not tie her hair?! Or is Carl a bigger idiot for wanting to marry her?

- As Josh was waving that lighted boar tooth about, you can already guess that he's going to use it later on. Which is why he failed to pull it off his neck when he was mad at his father. I would prefer a more surprising plot, thank you.

- Even though it's about cave exploring, they didn't show any impressive shots of the beautiful caves which they were ooh and aah-ing about. Bleh..

Oh yeah. I washed my car this week. You must be like "Doesn't she have anything else to write about?! Blogging about washing your car is like blogging about bathing and brushing your teeth". Well, in another person's case, that may be true. But you see.. I think this is only the third time I've washed my car since I got it like 1 year+ ago -_-" It's so bad that when I use my wiper+water, the water turns gray >_

While I was waiting for Sanctum, I went to the new Watson's @ 1 Utama to buy some stuff. I must have looked like an insane girl cos the guard was staring. The moment I entered, I turned to my left (which happened to be Majorlica Majorca) and started swatching stuff. Then I moved to the next stand and went on til I found something I liked. I ended up buying these :

Euro cuticle scissors (I use this for my eyebrows) RM 16.07 (wth it's so expensive! Thought it was only RM 11+ at the display), Biore Cleansing Oil RM 23, Maybelline Makeup Remover RM 13.80, ZA Plumper Lip Gloss RM 27.90 & ZA Plumper Lips RM 29.90.

I was asking the SA about cleansing oils as I wanted one that emulsified with water and didn't leave an oily residue but both of them didn't seem to quite understand my English =_= I had to repeat myself thrice before she said 'yes wash with water' WTH! Wasn't answering my question at all. Watson's should consider hiring better SAs. What use are they if you can't ask them about the products? Grr..

My MIA Elf Mineral Eyeshadow Primer arrived. This is a backup cos I'm paranoid that I'll run out of primer =_= I'm currently experimenting with backgrounds and lighting (using my Nokia 5800 handphone & Brightlight app). Lighting proved to be insufficient, judging from the photos lol

Long sleeved top I bought from Momoe 1 Utama for RM10 during their clearance sales. They didn't have my size but I settled with M cos my Bf liked it and bugged me to get it =_= And when I wore it, he didn't even recognise it wth.. Waste money oni lol

Repainted my nails but don't like the result, which is why it didn't get it's own post lol

This is using Wet N Wild Molten Metals (Gold), fake royal blue OPI polish and black nail art pen. I basically painted the gold as base, then used the blue to paint random designs and dotted the border between them. This is the first time my right hand looked better cos I started with it and decided to get creative on my left hand. The dots didn't look too good with some so I just joined the dots.

Okay, enough with the crap. Why am I writing such long ass posts every week?! >_<

On a hot day, I like to pamper my skin by putting on a chilled mask and relaxing on the couch. I find this to be a very effective method to reduce tiredness and rehydrate my skin at the same time. Make your own spa at home ^_^

This mask smells good. I know it's supposed to smell like chamomile (which I have no idea how it smells like) but it reminds me of grape ice cream popsicles >_< I have no idea why..

It fits comfortably on my face but I would prefer the mouth hole to be higher. It's thin yet absorbs moisture well.

There's exactly enough essence to soak the mask for one application and keep it moist for a short nap. I also didn't feel the need to rinse this off as it didn't feel uncomfortable after patting it in.

As for the effect, I took the mask off to reveal a much brighter me! My skin was smooth and soft. There was no 'toink toink' feel but my face was moisturized and plump. The huge pimple on my forehead was also soothed!

Pros : Smells nice, good fit, no rinse needed, moist, good effect

Cons : Mouth hole too low

My conclusion : I think this is a good quick fix for dehydrated skin. It's so easily available too.. However, I would wait for a sale to get them. This is worth repurchasing for me =)

Dinner @ Daves Again

So we went to Dave's again lol I'm glad we didn't go to TGIF on Valentines or else we would have never gone to this place. I must say.. Dave's never fails to impress ^_^ It was quite packed again but oddly enough, we were given the same table. And the lady even remembered us! o_O

I'm using the handmade falsies I've mentioned before. These make my eyes so much bigger!

If I'm not mistaken, I'm still wearing Logic lenses here. They've expired now so I get to choose another pair to wear for the next 3 months ^_^

I like how this camera makes my skin look glowy lol but if I go too near, the photo can be too overexposed =_= Thinking if I should stick something over the flash to tone it down =/

Yeah I know you're just here for the food so here we go! Signature Caesar Salad, RM 19. Omg.. This is so good.. x_X Such a nice mix of cheese, bacon, egg, greens and croutons (the crunchy bread). I actually picked up every single piece from the bowl =x

Aussie Pizza, RM 32 for regular size. Mm.. Melting cheese over ham, bacon and olives. Perfect combination of ingredients. Very simple yet so tasty. When you take a piece, there's a string of cheese. I would have taken a photo but there would be people staring lol

Mixed Seafood Spaghetti with olive oil for him at RM 30. They're so generous! 2 mussels, tonnes of clams, prawns and calamari. It tasted pretty good. I think this is better than the one at Modesto's. For about the same price.. Can you see the HUGE difference?! Urgh.. Feel so kek even thinking about it.

Let me remind you how the one at Modesto's looked like. I'm purposely leaving the picture small cos I don't want to see it =_= Like !@$$^#&?!?!

Okay.. Moving on.. I ordered the same Mixed Seafood Spaghetti but with crushed tomato sauce instead. Funny cos my Bf referred to it as ketchup when he was talking to the waitress and she was like "Well... We don't normally use that word.." LOL!! I would say this is a lil above average and the portion is good. Nom nom nom..

The bill came up to about RM 131 including water. I think it's rightly priced for the quality but not something we can afford to eat often o_O Also, we were so stuffed! The waitress always gives us this weird look when we order. Then my Bf would tell her "You don't know how much we can eat.. =D" Well, he should speak for himself! x_X I didn't even want to hear the word 'pasta'!

They're having a 50% off promotion for selected pastas. This offer is applicable from Monday to Friday, during lunch time (12-3 pm) only and excludes public holidays. I think it's a pretty good deal, no? ^_^

Okay so I gotta admit. When I first saw the poster, I thought it was kinda weird. And a name like Sucker Punch?! There is no way I'm watching this.. That was until.. I saw it on Nuffnang and watched the trailer.

So the question that will allow me to quench my curiosity is..

What you would do to escape if you were held against your will with Babydoll and her team?

First, we will record down the exact times of the guard patrols. Then we'll choose an appropriate time, when we know there won't be any guards walking past for some time, to carry out our mission.

One of the girls will pretend to be sick and unconcsious. The guard will come in and check to see if she's okay.

Once he's in, we'll give him a gift he'll never forget.

A sucker punch

Then we'll snatch his gun, tie him up and gag him. Armed with lollipops for Amber

and weapons, we leave the place swiftly but quietly.

There will be more guards outside so we'll have to use stealth and our surroundings as camouflage.

The moment we're out, we'll expose all the bad people and take revenge on Babydoll's stepfather by sending him to the asylum to be treated just like how she was treated. Muahahaha... *cue dark clouds and thunder*

Gyaru Makeup Attempt

Okay, first of all, I would like to clarify that I am NOT a gyaru in any way lol Just interested in their makeup after seeing Ringo's blog. Not that I have anything against them.. I'm just not one. Being a gyaru isn't just about putting on makeup to look at them. It includes clothes, hair, personality and your passion for it. Well actually I'm not sure what the real meaning is but that's my best guess lol

This is my feeble attempt without proper 'tools' like bottom lashes and double eyelids.

Behold.. The before picture. I'm wearing coloured lenses here but that's all.

I'm going to make this a step by step transformation. Skip ahead if you don't want to see all this.

Here I have a shimmery eyeshadow base and undereye concealer on.

Applied orangey eyeshadow on lid. It appears greenish-yellow in my pictures though. Not really needed but it makes it easier for me to blend since I'm such a noob.

Using my Elf Blending Brush, applied medium brown in my crease, which I don't really have. This is supposed to make it look deeper so I can have more 3D eyes.

White to highlight browbone and in the middle of the lid, also to help with the 3D effect. Actually, I discovered after putting on the falsies that all this is not really needed since the falsies are blocking it =_=

Filled brows with brown eyeshadow. I so need to do something with them. It's getting so thick. Urgh..

Lined eyes with pencil eyeliner. I'm using pencil because I'm going to smudge it. I don't think it's dark enough though. If I'm not mistaken, usually they just do a wing that blends in with the falsies. I'm not good at this though.. So skipped it =_=

Smudge smudge smudge.. You can just use dark eyeshadow instead of eyeliner actually. Will try eyeshadow next time.

Top lashes! I forgot to curl my lashes first zzz.. I like these. They're not too fake yet enough to open my eyes. The band is kinda thick and fake though.

I like this pic! xD So it's bigger than the rest wahahhaa.. I don't have lower falsies so mascara will have to do.. I just realized that I have decent lower lashes for an Asian! xD I'm using Super Film cos it's smudge proof. Can you see the falsies band here? Pfft.. It's kinda white and gray in some areas.

If you're using false lower lashes, stick to your natural lash line from inner corner to middle then from middle to outer corner, stick it a little lower and join to upper falsies. White is the original lash line, red is the falsies lol If you want, you can also line your waterline with white eyeliner pencil as well as the area between your lower lash line and lower falsies.

Physician's Formula Concealer, Daiso Eyeshadow Palette, Multi Cheek Blusher (Beige), Elf Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder, Elf Healthy Glow Bronzing Powder (Luminance), Revlon Colourburst Lipstick (Soft Nude), Magnum Super Film mascara, L.A. Colors Auto Eyeliner (Brown) & Elf Plumping Lip Glaze (Baby Doll).

The Elf Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder was used to contour the sides of my nose to make it appear smaller. It will never make my humongous nose become smaller though =(

I'm thinking of getting a fringe again but I have a really oily face so my hair gets all lumpy and gross. Wonder if I should go ahead?

I'm not sure if I'll wear this look out. I'm not comfortable with falsies as they keep peeling off after an hour or two. Especially the inner corner! Is it cos of my glue? o_O

Now.. What do you think of my gyaru look attempt? Personally, to cut short the process, you can just smudge dark eyeshadow around/line your eyes and slap on the falsies lol
