Products Finished in December

Okay, this is absolutely.. horrible! I did not finish anything at all in December =/ I did however, throw out some stuff. Some were beginning to smell funny while the time has come for the others.

I did use it for a little while after the expiry date but after that, it smelt heavily of alcohol and I'm quite certain it was more watery than when I first got it..

2. Ginvera Green Tea Ultralift Hydrating Eye Gel
My first eye product. Total crap.. Post coming soon.

I know I said I'll just use this up but I noticed it was kinda making my skin worse (or maybe that was cos I wasn't using a proper facial cleanser). Not gonna use a toner that doesn't seem to be doing anything + makes my nighttime routine fussy.

4. Red Earth Lipgloss
Not a shade I would ever use o.O Belonged to my sister. Dumped it cos it smelt funny and I think it's been around for more than 5 years =.=

5. Maybelline Volume Express Mascara
One of my realllly old mascaras (my sister is still using the other one omg..). Used to love this a lot.

6. Maybelline Lip Smooth
Wanted to finish this at first but it has hardened and I don't think I should use it anymore lol

7. Sample jar of Egyption Magic Cream
Didn't love this and because it smells of 'bad oil' now, I'm throwing it away.

Even though I've gotten rid of 7 items, I actually got some new ones =x

Mini mini haul from Elianto, Curve. I so want the pastel blue colour but it was OOS >_<
06 Pink & 20 Cutie Pink - RM 5 each
Colour Studio Pearl Shine Shadow (13 Lavender Blue) - RM 8

Got sample sized Off With Those Heads from Skindeco ^^

The I Nuovi falsies I won from Skindeco finally arrived on Wednesday after the courier company messed up my address (house number & road), claimed there was nobody home (my mum was home the entire time) and delayed delivery. If the courier guy wasn't so nice, I would have screamed my head off at him. But then again, it wasn't really his fault =/ It wasn't my chosen design but it's still nice..

I won a Lip Polish from I Nuovi as well from Beetrice's blog so I hope they don't mess up this time =/

Deary Rose Co-Q10 Mask

Sorry for the bad pics. It was a dark rainy day >_< I think I should just scan masks next time lol

It was kinda stupid of me to get this mask as the results probably won't be noticeable! >_<

It smells lightly of roses (more like rose syrup, not rose flower); quite pleasant IMO. I don't like the way they made this mask. There simply aren't sufficient slits to make it mask your face comfortably. I find it ridiculous that they put 2 slits on the nose but none on the chin =_= It's thin like the previous Purederm mask I reviewed so that's fine..

There was still enough essence in the packet for another round but since I'm not too impressed by it, I threw the extra away. As predicted, I don't see any benefits of using this mask. It didn't really hydrate well nor did it show any other effects on my face.

Price : RM 5.90
Bought from : Watson's
Made in Taiwan
Pros : Nice smell, thin
Cons : No effect, not enough slits, not hydrating enough
My conclusion : Not gonna repurchase this particular one but if I hear really good reviews, I may get the other types.

My Christmas Experience

After I got older, my family didn't celebrate Christmas anymore. This year, I went over to my Bf's place on Christmas eve. I saw this guy getting out of his car outside the lobby (ground floor of condo? lol) and he had a huge sack on his back.

First thought that came into my mind :

He was nice enough to hold the door for me while I was still walking towards the lobby *embarrassed* Didn't realise he was holding the door and I was still trotting along slowly. Gah! He introduced himself as Eddy and after I told him he looked like Santa, he said it was a bean bag for his dog lol Anyway... Moving on from my embarrassing moment..

Summary of the Christmas dinners I had :

I haven't weighed myself yet.. But I wonder if I gained weight lol Plus the fried calamaris and 1 and a half maggi goreng last night x.x Don't be fooled! I am not the 'sticklady' depicted below.

Now on to ze presents..

Putih and his new chew toy cos his old one is all chewed up and he ate the cotton =_= It's a koala-elephant hybrid o_O

As I have mentioned, my family doesn't celebrate Christmas so these were all from my Bf's side.

Bf's mom gave me this cute yellow floral + crochet mini dress / long top

From Bf's sister. I kinda like this but it's too short as a dress because the bottom has no lining

Totally didn't expect this from Bf's aunt! >_<

I only got ONE (1) gift, which was for Bf's mom so.. PAI SEH lol

P.S. Sorry for the horrid sketches. Can't take pictures of everything, right? I couldn't exactly whip out my camera and go like "Hey Eddy, do you mind if I take a photo of you?" Zzz.. And He's bald (me too) cos I have no idea how to draw hair LOL This is why I don't take any art related courses O_o

Daiso Multi Cheek Blusher (Pink & Beige)

Beige & Pink

The first time I stepped into Daiso, I went into a rampage, grabbing every single item on the shelves and shoving people aside was so excited as everything was just RM 5! I don't really trust RM 5 stuff but blushers seemed pretty harmless =/

First pic has accurate colour but 2nd pic shows shimmer. I think this is after 4 swipes. Right side is blended out. You can layer if you want more colour.

I prefer Beige over Pink for everyday use but the Pink gives a dolly look. The shimmer in it really brightens up my entire face. They're amazingly pigmented for RM 5 but not very long lasting. I don't really care though. It's quite huge too. I've used the Beige more than 10 times and as you can see from the pictures, the surface still looks kinda new. The included brush is kinda crap though. I usually apply using Elf's Studio Complexion brush. I think there are 4 shades total.

Size : 6.7 g
Price : RM 5
Bought from : Daiso
Made in China

Pros : Cheap, pigmented, intensity controllable
Cons : Bad casing (Pink wouldn't open properly), bad brush
My conclusion : My favourite budget blusher. Worth repurchasing, IMO =)

Purederm Pearl Essence Mask

Pearl is know for its many 'beautifying' properties, including whitening, brightening, smoothing and etc. Now, I don't really believe in it's 'miracle power' but decided to try this mask anyway.

There is exactly enough essence for one use. Mask is quite comfortable and no problems with the size. I like the fact that it has 'eye flaps' which gives you an option instead of assuming you don't want it. It's thinner than the other normal masks I've tried, which makes it look nicer in photos xD

So does this mask really have magical pearl powers? After removing, I did notice my face was glowing but shine was reduced (does that make sense? lol). As usual, skin was also hydrated and smooth. The glowing effect lasted for a few hours but I wouldn't say it did more than that. Perhaps you may see more difference if you use it often.

The packet did mention that it can soothe and coincidentally, I had an itchy spot beside my nose (visible in pic). Guess what? Redness went down and itchy spot was not so itchy anymore! ^_^

Size : 18 ml
Price : RM 5.02
Bought from : Watson's
Made in Korea

Pros : Has eye flaps, leaves skin glowing, hydrating, thin, comfortable, soothing
Cons : Doesn't really do much
My conclusion : May repurchase if my skin feels irritated, not for the 'pearl effects'. Still not buying the idea =/

Rejuvenate At Ecoparadise With Worthy Book

Thanks to Worthy Book, I had the chance to have a FREE trial at Ecoparadise. This voucher alone already makes up for the price of the whole book! The nearest branch was at Jaya One so I booked an appointment for yesterday. I was informed that they don't have many customers at the moment so booking in advance is not needed (but I was scared and booked anyway lol).

It's located above Station 1 Cafe (back corner, other end from Cold Storage). You just go up the stairs at Old Town White Coffee, walk past a few shops and you will see it.

First timers are required to fill in a form. There are articles for you to read on the table.

In a corner were some odd looking bowls.. One contained an egg and the other had a few slices of bread in it. Apparently, they've been there for 1 or 2 years+ but they still look relatively fresh. There are no molds on the bread but just some cockroach bites and the egg doesn't smell bad. Both bottles contain nails. One contains normal water and rust while the other which contains a special anti oxidant soap (Pirkare) water has a nail that isn't rusty.

Before the session, each person will be given a yukata to change into. It's basically a loose top and pants. I must say.. The washroom is quite nice lol There's a locker, changing room, shower and hair blower.

I wasn't allowed to take pictures of the room itself as it would interfere with the negative ion action. In fact, no electronic devices were supposed to be used in the premises as they emit radioactive waves which causes more free radicals to form. Same goes to products containing perfume.

Normal session is 45 minutes but for beginners, the lady recommended 30 minutes. I stayed inside for 35 minutes before deciding I've had enough lol It was set at the lowest setting, 41 C but the moment I stepped in, my feet were burning! It was a small closed room big enough for 3 people so it got a bit stuffy after 10 minutes. Soft music was playing in the background but it gets kinda boring.

Content from the brochure :

Few are aware that oxygen that sustains life is simultaneously destroying it. Those who have experienced trouble with rust are aware of the harm oxidization causes. The same process is occurring in our bodies with every breathe we take.

Basically, the process of oxidization releases free radicals. These cause cellular damage by stealing electrons from the neighbouring molecules, disrupting normal cellular functions and accelerating or even causing the aging process, as well as aggravating many illnesses. Modern life styles are conducive and unhealthy diets aggravate the natural tendency to form free radicals.

Using breakthrough techniques, Ecoparadise developed a process, whereby concentrated antioxidant solution derived from friendly micro-organisms impregnated into building materials which will provide antioxidants to the air we breathe in. This unique construction process operates on a principle similar to a Roman caldarium.

Visitors to the center will be enfolded in an antioxidant rich environment, relaxing in a climate controlled chamber, where temperature (41 - 43 C) and humidity levels (20% - 40%) are monitored for the comfort of our clients. You will emerge from the Antioxidant Rejuvenation Hot Bed Therapy Center rejuvenated and refreshed.

Benefits :
  • Relaxes, revitalizes & rejuvenates
  • Improves blood circulation
  • Improves metabolism & blood pressure
  • Reduces cholesterol level
  • Reduces swelling
  • Strengthens immune system
  • Helps relieve allergies, colds and constipation
  • For diabetic patients, multiple sessions of antioxidant rejuvenation therapy helps to decrease the blood pressure and sugar level of diabetes patient to normal levels
  • For cancer patients, relief of pain and improvement of well-being, reports show improvement in cancer patient's health after multiple antioxidant rejuvenation therapy sessions

After that, I was lead to the resting room, where I was told to rest for 15 minutes to 1 hour before showering. The room felt quite cooling and I was given a small shot glass of tasty enzyme drink (Pineapple + Papaya + Banana). You can read magazines, watch Astro or just walk around, reading about Ecoparadise.

This was also where I asked the lady if I could take pictures and she gave me this O_O look as if I asked the most ridiculous question ever. She acted like I was gonna steal the idea and all cos she started telling me that it was all patented lol I reassured her that it was for my own use (not trying to steal your business so chill!) and I was going to post it on my blog website (cos she couldn't understand the word blog). And after that she started getting really happy and sorta excited o_O Even checking on me while I was blowing my hair to ask if I've taken pictures LOL So much for the 'no electronic devices' huh? I hope I wasn't responsible for any extra free radicals that could have caused wrinkles on someone's face. Oh nooooo!! =/

Do I look rejuvenated? Lol The lady said I will sleep well after the session. I was going to take a nap right after as I felt very exhausted but something happened and the nap didn't go too well. I was there for almost 2 hours. Don't think I'll be signing up as I'm not really into the whole idea of being in a hot room and sweating like crazy >_< There is an offer now though.. RM 48 for 3 sessions (first timers only).

Website : http://www.ecoparadise.com.my/index.html
Phone number (Jaya One) : 03-7956 3336
*There are other branches as well, including in Singapore, Jakarta, Hanoi and Tokyo

Tips :
1. Bring your shampoo if you're planning to wash your hair. Their all-in-1 soap isn't really meant for the hair.
2. Bring extra undergarments as you'll be sweaty.
3. Go with a friend so you can chit chat softly in the room and it won't be so boring.
4. Silent your phone
5. Don't make the same mistake as me. Leave your shoes outside! And please don't wear expensive shoes.. You don't wanna have someone walking off in yours.

Phew.. Sorry for the long post.. =/

My First Worthy Experience

I've always been a fan of Baskin Robbins but I do wonder if Lecka Lecka is as good every time I walk past it in Cineleisure. Because of Worthy Book I decided to give it a shot and I don't regret it ^^ (To be honest, if it weren't for WB, I don't think I would have tried it anytime soon)

I chose After 8, Ferrero Rocher and something I can't remember >_< But those 2 were absolutely delicious! Nom nom nom.. There was even a crunchy cone in the middle. Don't forget to recycle the plastics after you're done!

By using this upgrade voucher, I got to buy a triple scoop (RM 10) for the price of just a double scoop (RM 8). There are 5 of this voucher in the book so you can save RM 10 total here xD For an ice cream lover like me, this is good! From your total savings, you can buy another triple scoop cup!

I was a little annoyed as the guy didn't understand me when I asked him if he accepted the Worthy Book voucher. Always ask before purchasing. He looked like he hadn't even heard of the book before o_O Sensing something was wrong, the other guy who was older came to assist me and he explained the usage of the voucher to me like the price, size of the triple scoop etc.

Overall, I'm quite happy with my experience ^^ Although I had to squeeze through the crowd from Curve to Cineleisure then back to Curve again. But it was worth it for ice cream!!

FOTD : Christmas Sparkles

Lighting was so bad I spent some amount of time editing the pictures >_< Still looks a little off but I hope you can see it lol

Since I don't own a Sleek Sparkle Palette =( I used an Elf palette instead. My first attempt at using white/whitish eyeshadow.

Products used :
YSL Matte Touch Primer
Elf All Over Cover Stick (Rosy Beige)
Silkygirl 2-way Foundation
Elf Healthy Glow Bronzing Powder (Luminance)
Elf Studio Blusher (Peachy Keen)
NYX Powder Blush (Peach)
Elf Eyelid Primer
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil (Milk)
Daiso Palette (Brown)
Elf Brightening Eye Colour (Day 2 Night)
L.A. Colors Auto Eyeliner (Brown)
Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara
Mogitate Kajitsu Lip Balm
Rimmel Nude Delight lipstick

After looking back at the pictures, I noticed a lot of mistakes >_< At least I know what to improve on now.

1. NYX JEP (Milk) all over lid
2. Cream from Day 2 Night all over lid
3. Brown from Day 2 Night in crease (slightly higher as it suited my eye more) and outer V
4. Black from Day 2 Night to darken outer V
5. Silver glitter from Elf palette (top left corner) patted on the white/cream parts. You can't really see it in the photos but it adds a really nice glittery effect.

I made sure to use thick liner & mascara as white isn't the most flattering colour on my bare eyes =/

Oh yeah, almost forgot. My OOTD. It's a dress from my blogshop.

Hope you girls had a wonderful Christmas! New Year's Eve is next! One thing I learnt from this Christmas.. Don't wear too much blusher when you know you're gonna be drinking lol
